Hi Bryan, thanks for your support! Please check my responses below to address your questions. 1. Different SSDs will affect the transfer speed of PocketCloud. For optimal transfer speeds, we recommend using a PCIe 3.0 (or higher) SSD to better meet your performance needs. 2. Similar to other NAS products, transferring large files will not significantly affect the transfer speed of PocketCloud, while transferring small files or simultaneously transferring files will affect its transfer speed. 3. When PocketCloud is connected to a computer via USB-C, it has a USB-C transfer speed of 10G and a read/write speed of approximately 1000MB/s.

Hi Daren, PocketCloud comes with its own battery protection board and uses a flat-top 18650 battery without an internal protection board. Therefore, you don’t need to use a battery that has a built-in protection board.

@Michael Lim PocketCloud uses universal 18650 batteries (Terminal: Flat Top, voltage: 3.7V). These batteries are widely available and can be easily purchased from online retailers like Amazon and other platforms. The Dock, on the other hand, is powered by mains power and does not use batteries at all.

Hi YS, we totally get it! Replaceable batteries are key for the long-term use of a device. When you’re out in the field, where devices are more prone to physical damage, having two SSDs in one device can be risky because if the device gets damaged, you might lose both SSDs. We’re glad to hear that PocketCloud has solved your problems.
