Hey Kyle. Glad you like it but sorry it didn’t arrive as sharp as expected. I always prefer the simple sharpening from a rough stone and some lubricant. There a bunch of great how-to videos on YouTube. This is top quality D2 steel so maybe just a touch up if you want the blade sharper than how it came and it should then last quite awhile without needing to be resharpened!
