I appreciate that feedback. I have yet to see Chornobyl but hear it's very good. I'm considering everyone's feedback, and some additional changes to the front cover may come. Trying to get all the elements rolling on such a condensed timeline is a balance, but I hope people will feel happy with the result. It's not my story- it's ours! I hope all is well! -Walt

Great question, Sir. The hazmat suit is the same brand of suit worn by TF Med members while on the mission but is an artist rendering. The ONG provided me permission to utilize any photographs published by them or by OHMR during the missions, and there will be a significant portion of the book devoted to sharing some of those photos, including a few in the MOPP Gear. I was unable to use one of those photos for the cover due to the need to own the rights and the quality of the photos (for re-sizing, etc). I anticipate that around 65 photographs will be included in the final product. While different State Defense forces have different pattern uniforms, many wore similar Body Substance Isolation gear during the pandemic. The OCP uniform was considered for the cover. I ultimately decided not to utilize it for a few reasons. First, I did not feel that a facial covering coupled with the uniform would be enough to convey the seriousness with which the pandemic was viewed at its onset. Every good story has a bad guy. The virus is the ‘villain’, and I wanted the cover to convey it in an ominous way. I considered using the OHMR patch on the cover rather than my beloved ‘Bloody Bucket’, but ultimately an NG PAO talked me out of it. The OHSDF has proposed a new patch for their element, and the ONM and Cyber Defense Corps are also mentioned within the text. The keystone adorns the cover and spine of all of my publications but is sometimes hidden (Easter Egg). Currently, we are still on track for a November release. I’m knocking on wood because a lot could go wrong. I would love it if we could bring it to market earlier for the SGAUS conference (Nov 1-5), but I’m not holding my breath. At the current speed, we should be good for Christmas (knock on wood). Will continue to post updates as they become available. Thank you for your support! -Walt
