About

The Twitter, that I once loved, has turned into a completely different place. Seeing people I generally like and agree with subtweeting and attacking others—on top of the world's perpetually bleak news—has begun to gnaw away at my mental health and spiritual wellbeing. It simply isn't what I signed up for. Do you remember how the web used to work? How the web was supposed to work? Godinterest is a wordpress powered Christian Social Media Blogging Service that allows you to share your faith with the world. It has public timelines that are chronological where users, who have @usernaes, are encouraged to share posts.

There are only two kinds of people in the world, those who are addicted to Twitter and those who don’t like Twitter.

Unlike Twitter, the faith network allows posts of 500 characters or more rather than the 140 on Twitter and it is possible to make individual posts private. Godinterest seeks to re-create some of the service's best parts while eliminating its whale-sized problems and satisfies people wanting no ads and offers better tools for privacy and fighting harassment.

Post a bunch of things you love. And then find or invite people to follow. That’s all you need to do to see and talk about what’s happening. Congratulations! You’ve just mastered Godinterest.com

My assistant editor is none other than, (hobbyist designer and blogger) and grateful dad, Dean Jones. Jones grew up in London, Islington, and attended St Martins College of Art and Design in 1996. He left in late 2001 and became a Design Lecturer and then eventually a Project Manager and from 2017 to 2018 led on the setup and delivery of a major change programme for the House of Commons and House of Lords, (UK Parliament).

Jones said "Godinterest  is not an alternative silo: instead, it’s what you build when you believe that the web itself is the great social blogging network. I’m @deanjones on Godinterest.com.

Jones said, ”We do not throttle or manipulate our users’ streams. We respect our your privacy, and we listen to and trust our users,”Godinterest’s manifesto is to promote freedom of expression and internet freedom and respect one’s right to remain anonymous. But more than anything, the change in social networks has given me a new lease on digital life. After years of feeling anxious and unhappy checking my tweets and keeping up my personal brand, it’s like I’ve moved to a new town where nobody knows me, but everyone is looking to make new friends.Isn’t that why we all signed up for this stuff in the first place?

The funds will go towards monthly server costs over the first year of operation. If we secure more than the funding goal, funds will go towards sequent year costs to ensure the longevity of the website.

Funds

£400 Server cost for 1 Year £400 renewal of domain name for 1 Year Godinterest

Unlike Twitter, you can see public timelines on Godinterest  without having to follow anyone. These timelines are also strictly reverse chronological, with no algorithm to decide that some posts are more important than others.

Godinterest also allows creation of multi-user blogs where people can both write and read important, insightful stories on the topics that matter most to them and share ideas with the world. Blogs are hosted by us and are generally accessed from a subdomain of Godinterest. If you’re seeking to build your online presence and haven’t decided where to drop your anchor, why not give us a try!

How it starts

Create a basic site that’s free forever to power the smallest to the largest of dreams. Godinterest enables our members to express their ideas and share their work on their own terms through writing, conversation, and other media.

Community Timeline

Using the Godinterest public timeline is a great way to keep in touch with your friends and quickly broadcast information about where you are and what you’re up to. As with traditional blogging, microbloggers post about topics ranging from the simple, such as “what I’m doing right now,”

Risks and challenges

There is a risk that the funding goal is not achieved and that I would therefore have to initially fund this project directly.
