Ah.. sorry your comment got lost in the mix Natalie! Thanks for the cover Adam! - Yes, Adam's way is a nice secure grip and would allow for a lot of force BUT it was designed to have your index and middle fingers inside, your thumb on the non-sharp serrated part and you ring finger touching the little nub sticking off the molded rubber piece. This way you don't have to change hand positions if transitioning from cutting your seatbelt to breaking the window. Either way works great! - Just remember to turn your head to protect your eyes!

Hi Mitch, I totally understand where you're coming from. Before I tried to fund my own project I was very confused by it as well but the reality I've found is that it is often quite difficult to meet a set funding goal. Since Kickstarter is comprised of a community of creators and supporters the creators often try to give each other a hand to cross promote products to reach a greater audience. Unfortunately if a campaign is not one of those which "catch fire" it's pretty much a necessity and since no backers will receive their rewards if campaigns are not fully funded it's really in everyone's best interest that the creators do their best to cross promote projects. Constant updates can get tedious so Kickstarter allows you to modify your notification preferences. Thanks for your support and for understanding !

The Boomr works very well with cameras up until about 6 lbs/ 2.8 kgs where at that weight it would keep the bungee a bit too stretched out and make the strap a bit long for most. At the lighter weights the bungee stretches and retracts minimally keeping the camera at the desired location (using the adjustable shoulder strap) with a very slight bounce which is just enough to help relieve the pressure from carrying the weight load yet not too bouncy where it would swing all over the place.
