Hi Seong, If we can create a knife that never needs resharpening that would be something! ;) So D2 is an extremely strong steel and we chose it for this edc knife because of its ability to retain its edge even with regular usage.

Hey Robert, No difference in quality just a matter of personal preference. Black oxide coating holds up really well but with serious abuse it can def show some scratching etc. Some people like it when the blade shows some use.. the stonewashed blades have a more natural color so they will hide use much better.
