Hi Greg, We don't want any confusion.. brass is an alloy of copper (70%copper / 30% zinc) and it won't kill the virus straight out rather microbes such as the coronavirus etc have been shown in studies as recent as last week from the New England Journal of Medicine, to not be able to live as long as on other surfaces being apx 4 hours as opposed to being able to live up to two to three days on plastic and stainless steel surfaces. We would still recommend wiping down the Hygiene Hand but we are also working on some carrying solutions to provide with the Hygiene Hands for a more germ-free way to carry it! - For more info please check the section on the campaign page labeled "Please Note". Hi Linegray, So there are different types of stylus/touchscreen technologies and after testing out a bunch of designs for the perfect stylus tip we found that the most widely accepted type would be to have a stylus that could replicate the dimensions of using a finger on those screens. Pointed tips didn't work and plastic parts don't work because many require the flow of your body's electrical current to recognize the touch. Since the Hygiene hand is made from metal which conducts electricity we're covered with this part but the pointed tips did not work well so we thickened the tool and made the stylus tip a .25" diameter flat portions which now works great on the different types of touchscreens!
