About this project
Fibonacci (The person)AKA: Leonardo of Pisa, Leonardo Pisano Bigollo, Leonardo Fibonacci
The most celebrated mathematician of the middle ages. Famous for asking the question:
"If a pair of rabbits is placed in an enclosed area, how many rabbits will be born there if we assume that every month a pair of rabbits produces another pair, and that rabbits begin to bear young two months after their birth?"
Fibonacci Sequence (The series of numbers)A series of numbers in sequence that illustrate recursive doubling and demonstrate exponential growth.
The Golden Ratio (Seen almost everywhere in nature)
When two quantities' ratios are the same as the ratio of their sum to the larger of the two quantities.
One of the best explanations of these things I've found can be seen HERE.
Although I prefer another well known phrase that I believe fits this series of numbers and these dice more aptly:
"Well that escalated quickly!"
And much like this well known phrase, so do these dice.
using the classic Fibonacci sequence:
Can I add on a Fibonacci Die to my pledge?
Sure, you sure can. $7ea
You can also add on as many 2x6 dice as you want for $7ea.
These dice go from: "well crap" to: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! in a single rolling.
Use one or use multiples these dice are designed to allow you to dial your chaos up to 11 (Or in this case 144)
Want to take a chance and try to redeem yourself after rolling low?
ROLL THE FIBONACCI! BAM! ADD +89! Your 3 roll just went into orbit!!! (Insert Wilhelm Scream! - AAAAAHHHHHH)
Want to tack on some horrifying damage?
ROLL THE FIBONACCI!
Bye bye natural 20, How about a natural 20 + 144? Yea, now were talking....
Use the Fibonacci in singles, doubles, triples, quintuples... (see where I'm going with this?) And unleash your inner dark ages mathematician!
But wait, there's more!
Just because I just have to go that extra mile for my backers, I've got one last thing for you. Sure, its not as revolutionary as the Fibonacci. But I think you'll like it just the same.
How about a D12 with this numbering pattern?
Are there dice that use this numbering pattern on the market today?
Sure, in plastic. But how about something high-quality in metal? Anodized? Super cool?
2x6 Dice Add-On: $7 ea any color
Want one, want 20? Just add $7 to your pledge for each 2x6 die you want. Just that easy.
Keep in mind that large quantities of these will raise the shipping costs a little in some cases... but usually not more than $2-3.
Not a whole lot to say about these 2x6 dice... if you know what and why they are, then you're going to want these... If you're new to them... have a look at this HERE. (Different brand of dice, in plastic... but same concept.)
3x4 numbering available as an add-on for $7ea
What? 3x4? Sure! Get rid of your tiny pyramids/caltrops (D4) and roll a die that has 1-4 three times on it faces! Way easier to roll and with even better chances of getting the roll you want! (I cannot guarantee this). But they do roll much better than a caltrop. :) More information on 3x4's HERE.
Same as the 2x6's the 3x4's will be numbered only and come in all available colors (ten colors)
Available in our standard Zucati Dice 10 color lineup:
The Golden Spiral Edition Fibonacci is made from solid brass and features the same numbering scheme as the standard Fibonacci with one change. The first #1 in the sequence has been replaced by the golden spiral engraving. These are going to be limited to 100pcs total and will require more than one machine shop to complete. The price reflects the degree of work required to make these.
So that's it folks...
Prices shown are per die.
Pledge levels are priced as listed.
Fibonacci 3x4, 2x6 and the Fibonacci Golden Spiral.
Take your pick and choose your pledge level.
