For those of you who don't know me. HI! I'm an India born, California raised folk fusion singer-songwriter. I like to blend the sounds from my Indian heritage into folk pop singer-songwriter music and have caught the attention of publications like the Huffington Post, Rolling Stone, Pepsi MTV Indies, Wondering Sound and more who are all trying to find out more about this new sound I've come to be known for.
As a DIY artist, any money we make goes right back into paying musicians, videographers, travel for touring, recording costs, etc.. (the list seriously never ends) ... So I am sitting here, behind my weird computer light box of a thing asking you to help me raise $4,000 to finish my newest full length album titled "The Girl Who Used To Live In My Room".
The recording process is DONE. All low cost - all DIY - in mine, my friends' or hotel rooms. I've done all the dirty work - but now I need your help to pay for this record to be mixed, mastered, duplicated, and distributed to YOU.
I am asking your help to fund less than 50% of the money I actually need - and I will find ways to take care of the rest!
The record is set to release this July 2015. Right after the release - my band and I hope to embark on our first official tour to promote the release of this (CRAZY INCREDIBLE) new album. I am so so close - and I'm hoping you'll join the team & help me get there!
Graduating Berklee College of Music with Music Business degree has enabled me to do everything on my own to forward my musical career. With that said, I feel it is safe to tell you - I do do everything myself. Management, booking, marketing, recording, writing, - the works.
Doing everything on your own as an artist is incredibly challenging - but no matter how tough things may seem - it has been the best choice I ever made to refrain from signing with a label so I can create my music in the way I believe in.
I just came home from my first REAL tour as a support act for the insanely talented, Kawehi. Having just a taste of life on the road has got me unfathomably hooked. I had the most incredible time traveling & performing in a new city every night but, the best part, was truly meeting all of you!
My band and I have performed up and down the east and west coast and we are preparing a seriously bad ass new live show for all of you featuring songs from The Girl Who. When the record releases in July - I would be so ECSTATIC if you were a part of helping us come to 12 cities in 14 days in August 2015 to perform this new album for you - - - live.
This new album is one I am incredibly proud of. It features musicians from around the world and instruments from around the world - & im ITCHING for all of you to hear it!
"It takes a village to raise a child" - in the same way I have been blessed with family and friends willing to help my dreams grow. I have been so lucky to be surrounded by people who have gone out of their way to support this choice I made and help me in any way they can - as you are - by even simply taking the time to read this.
To the right is a list of the packages I am offering and where your contributions will go. There is something for everyone so - a share, dollar, or even a smile helps!
- from the deep depths of my heart, thank you, for listening, reading, sharing and supporting.

Risks and challenges
Risks? Of course there are risks! Crossing the street, being in love, or following your dreams. But life wouldn't be worth living if we didn't challenge those risks and conquer each and every one of our fears.
This is scary for me - to ask you for help for the first time. But even if we do not reach our goal - I can assure you that all you backers will be a part of our family. You will be the first to have my newest record and the first to know about any new projects, albums, shows, and more! This new record and all that comes with it WILL happen - no matter what - but it will be an even more epic adventure with any and all of your support & love.
