About
About this project
Here at Zombie brewing, we are a micro brewery based at home looking to be a micro brewery serving north Los Angeles and the surrounding Tri-Counties. We produce artisanal, hand crafted and seasonal beers in our Eco-friendly go-green-themed brewery. Positioned in Los Angeles, which is known for its over-the-top movies and weather, Zombie Breweries beer is accordingly over-the-top and fabulous, we use all-natural products, state-of-the-art equipment, and expensive-quality grain, not rice. Our brew house serves to educate and entertain its patrons. Being Eco-minded, 80% of our business foot print thus far has involved recycled / re-purposed equipment from local businesses. We will never sacrifice quality for a quick buck, and provide small-batch beer with rich, sought-after flavor.
Zombie Brewing: Short and Simple
Much like many other breweries on Kickstarter, our project is to get our humble little nano-brewery off the ground. The past two years have cost a lot of our own money, time, and elbow-grease scraping together the equipment we need to get a very small brewery off the ground. We've also managed to acquire plate chillers, pumps, two 6’ x6’ walk in coolers which we use as a fermentation / cold crash facility.
Despite our effort and self determination, our labor of love has finally reached the point where we need more kegs, fermenters, pumps, chillers, licenses, permits, and we decided to enlist the ability of many to push us over the top.
Zombie Brewery?
There are quite a few little breweries that have gone the Kickstarter approach, and some have not been successful, but a few have. What separates us from the rest? Why should you dedicate some of your attention and donations to our cause?
We want to do more than just make beer. Tons of people make beer. Zombie Brewing is launched with the vision that it does more than serve the community, it is a community. We have a vision of educating and entertaining the community by including them in the brewing process. Our approaches include:
• Buying local ingredients
• Supplying local farms with our spent grain for use as either feed or fertilizer
• Promoting community-created and –oriented beer
• Sponsoring those beers to give attract business and give back to the organization
• Feeding the needy
• Access to Professional Brewers Certificate-level, hands-on training without the $9k price tag.
• Facilitating production-quality craft beer and homebrew events through our ingredient-disclosure brew-assimilation events that serve to education, train, and teach through tour-assists, competitions, and festivals.
In summary, we don't want this brewery to be about us. Nor do we want it to be about our beer alone. We want it to be about creativity and community in appreciation of good beer everywhere. Please help us make this dream into a reality by donating at least a $1, $5, or $10 donation today.
