We are very thankful for your support this past week!
Lol, that needs to be a t-shirt or a coffee mug!
Hey guys; I just wanted you to know that I spent many hours on the NES version of Shadowgate as a kid; it was one of the Top 10 games of my youth as I frequently refused any help on the puzzles... sometimes spending weeks wandering rooms trying things, and starting the whole castle over again to get a fresh perspective on it all.
And that music that played when your torches got low!!! (little kid shudder); I used to reload just to avoid it. And if you accidentally opened the wrong coffin and the stupid slime came out and you couldn't get around it! RAGE.
So I am happily backing this Kickstarter; it's one of the two projects that have caused me to sign up in the first place. I'm also really excited for all of you that are working on this game, as well as all the little kids back in the 80's that I can nostalgically look back on and think, "Just wait until you grow up.... things are gonna be AMAZING."
"With a desperate lunge, Aaron grabs the Staff of Ages. It's a sad thing that your pitch video has ended here!!"
The original ending was great, and very creative (I thought.)
RE: Illustration - I guess you could call him part of the "Skeleton" crew....geddit? Skeleton? *gets shot*
Everyone should make sure they keep an eye out on the Facebook page here:
So that way they can like and share the updates and posts so all your friends can see them too (or at least the friends who you want to share it with depending on privacy settings).
I know not everyone uses Facebook, and the Black Axe content isn't going to be contingent on Facebook Likes, but the more the better so as to get the word out.
There's also Zojoi's Twitter account for the Tweeting inclined:
Following Zojoi there and retweeting messages will be a major help too. :)
Nice Dave. Love the illustration.
Epor, Epor... Epor....
I just want to let you know... we're all counting on you.
It is almost like the grim reaper is the mascot of Shadowgate !
Haha! Both great ending ;D Thanks for showing them.
I'm torn now as to which ending I like better. Though the original ending sets up a sequel nicely, so maybe that one. :)
I really need more people to get on this. I love these games. I think the NES Shadowgate was the first game I couldn't stop going back to, even though as a 6 or 7 year old it was infuriatingly hard.
I like the original ending... very nice. :-)
