Zodiak Legends is the first of many games to come out featuring the Zodiak universe.
About The Game:
Zodiak Legends is a dice battle non-collectible deck building game that uses the 12 signs of the Zodiak to face off against your opponents. Players can not only play the game 1v1 but play with large teams of 3v3 or even a 4 player free-for-all.
Zodiak Legends is an exciting spin on card games, using dice to conduct battle, defend against attacks, and use magic to counter Enchantments, while using a deck of Enchantment cards to increase your odds and hinder your opponent.
Players will also get the chance to level up their Units using XP earned from successfully played Enchantments or bought with gold. Whenever a player levels up their Unit they add +1 skill point to one of that Unit's stats (max 5 per stat). If a Unit is leveled up through XP they still retain their Enchantment's gold value and simply rotate the card counterclockwise to show the XP is not available. Unit's will also regain a little HP when leveling with XP. However, when leveling using gold the Unit will not gain HP and the gold is immediately removed from the stockpile and placed out of the game.
How to Win:
In order to win a player must defeat all of his opponent's Units or get them to "deck out".
15 D6 (4 Red, 4 Blue, 4 Green, 3 White)
40 Card Enchantment deck
3 Units (of non-conflicting signs)

Where Did The Idea For Zodiak Legends Come From?
Growing up I played a lot of different card games. I played everything from "Dragon Ball Z" to "Magic the Gathering". One of my favorite games to play with my friends was "Raw Deal" a wrestling based card game that stood out among the rest because it allowed you to take on the role of the wrestler you were using. When building a deck you'd first have to figure out which wrestler you'd like to play and build a deck that helped support them. There was something about this style of card game that I enjoyed because it allowed me to transcend the mundane activity of playing with paper and become engulfed in this epic world of steel chairs and folding tables. It was like I was the wrestler and before I knew it, I was saying their quotes and doing their hand gestures whenever I played one of their maneuvers. This is the experience I want to give our players. Allow them to live the game and the universe these creatures come from rather than just playing it.
Demo Party in the Microsoft Store:
Malcolm and Eric getting a chance to play Zodiak Legends for the first time and sharing their feedback.
Let me start off by saying how happy we are that we even got to this point. We know we have a long road ahead of us but with your support we'll achieve our dreams and make this game a reality! We know you all will enjoy Zodiak Legends just as much as we do.
If you'd like to get more information about the game please email us at ZodiakDevTeam@Live.com or message us on Twitter @ZodiakUniverse
Hopes for this Kickstarter:
Zodiak Legends is for the most part fully developed and ready to go. We have the rules perfected, the layouts of the cards cleaned up, and the new logo looks sharp. With the funds from this Kickstarter we'd like to hire a new artist to help Adrian Retana with some of the work load, as well as buy better supplies and do some higher quality printing.
We have a lot of stretch goals in mind, not only for this game but for the line of other games we plan to release within the Zodiak universe. when our game is funded and our first stretch goals are met we'll begin work on our customizable miniatures game "Zodiak Tactics". We can only achieve these goals with your help and generosity so from all of us on the Zodiak Team we thank you.

Make sure to check back often as we continue to update this page with more rewards, photos, and videos. We'll also be hosting Demo parties around the MA and NY areas so if you're close by please come visit! http://www.meetup.com/Gamers-Microsoft-Store/events/91518392/
We'll also be sending review copies of our game to select podcast and table top gaming review sites so make sure you keep an eye out for those!
Risks and challenges
To Our Backers,
We know that there is always an area of unknown that even with a ton of prepping you can never truly be ready for. Overseas shipping costs could always rise, production delays are all too common, and running out of funding is also a huge risk! You'll notice on the rewards that the shipping estimate is a long ways away. After talking to a few other Kickstarter veterans I learned that giving ourselves plenty of time to produce the game and exceeding expectations was better than losing the trust of our backers with shipment delays. We'll also be completely up front with all our backers about where we are currently with production so they'll get a sense of how the game is coming and what their contribution is helping us to achieve. If for whatever reason we can't come through with our promises in the time we said we would, I'll gladly refund any backers who'd like their money back. Besides that if a backer ever has any question or concerns they can reach us through email @ ZodiakDevTeam@live.com
Developing a table top game is an expensive endeavor and requires thousands of dollars and countless hours of unpaid work to see it made. At this point all of us have invested all we had and then some. Everyone in our development team has a day job but still uses any spare time and money on Zodiak Legends to improve it and make the game more engaging. Even after Hurricane Sandy affected some of our homes we're continuing with our venture. Without your help and generosity Zodiak Legends and the rest of the Zodiak Universe games will not see the light of day. The challenge now is to get our name out there, not only to get people to attend our live events but to get the funding we need. Throughout this Kickstarter we'll be doing live demos, sending our game to different review sites, and proofing all our artwork as well as creating new and exciting illustrations for the final product.
Thank you all for your support!
