One Thanksgiving Miracle To-Go Please!

Oorah!

Remember the secret project we talked about a while ago? Well, our three helpers (Jesper, Mark and Sam) have been hard at work, making sure there was something special in your inbox by Black Friday:

Let's make the Thanksgiving miracle come true!

For many people, it seems unlikely that we'll reach our goal, and the consequence is that only a few decide to pledge. As the old adage goes: Seeing is Believing.

The solution you ask? Make them see!

There is a magic point beyond 30% funded ($180,000) where 90% of all Kickstarter projects make it, ie. when more people start seeing – more people will start believing!

Here's how you can help

Increase your pledge. If everyone increased their pledge by $20, we would have $70,000 more in the bank, and we would now be beyond $200,000, and hence the 30% marker.

We're not suggesting you should increase your pledge if you can't afford it, but even if you did, you can always decrease your pledge before the deadline, and in the meantime you would help people see

Remember that Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing deal – NO money will be charged if we don't hit our goal!

Spread the word

New Bonus Reward

In light of the need for increased pledges, we've decided to add a SUPER SPECIAL bonus reward that includes the OS-1 Pistol for the $30 tier and above. (does not alter gameplay)

This sidearm weapon will only be available to backers on Kickstarter (and Early Supporters from InterstellarMarines.com eligible for the $30 tier and above)

Secrets From the Past #4

Fourth video in our series of secret videos from the past – never released publicly before!

In this video we invite you inside our humble offices at a time of Christmas and celebration.

It's the annual Christmas party and everybody on the team is extremely excited because two guys on the team, Mikael (Programmer) and Daniel (Level Designer), was about to reveal a secret project they've worked on after-hours.

Stay tuned for more secrets from the old archives!

In the press

Keep believing

We know it's hard to truly believe that we can make it – we've had our doubts too – but this does not change the fact that if enough people get to see the project, we can make this Thanksgiving miracle come true.

Now you have the knowledge and the power to make a difference. We hope you will do your part.

From the bottom of our hearts – THANK YOU!

FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME,
Kim & Mikael

Terri Brosius. < 3 But still not enough, it's a shame it was a good run, but I'll then just help through the project site.

Yeah, even if they did reach 30% (say, early in the last 48 hours) I doubt that all of a sudden the project would become funded. If you look at the kicktraq for this project they had an extended lull period (never a good sign).

Basically, the team was still working on the game and not promoting it (a la campaigns like @/#keephopealive from republique). I hope they redo their kickstarter in the future with a bigger publicity push.

i already support this game on its site and i also pledged here. i think its really far for this project to be funded now so at the least all people who pledged can still support this game through its main site

I would say that is it a nice video, but with the amount of people already saying it, it seems redundant...
Looks like the project shot pretty far since the last time I was here!
Can't wait till I get more money so I can pledge more!

I'm already Spearhead and pledged 255 dolars (I really want that printed artbook) few days ago. And that's no joke. I have pledged Chris Roberts' project with similar amount.

I have also created an article on Czech Mass Effect fansite to promote this game. Also biggest Czech videogames website Games.cz released an article about ISM today. I hope it will help.

That was an awesome clip. Shared, liked and upped pledge.

    7. Thane Armbruster on November 23, 2012

I hate to say it but the only reason I can pledge more is because another good project died (wasn't funded).

*psst* I will follow your advice in the second paragraph of how to help!

Whoa! Your Motion Detection clip is really cool! Brilliant!

To the people who say this game won't make it, and you won't support it: this is a self-fulfilling prophecy, if you don't give it won't make it. It's not like you have anything to lose if it doesn't succeed. If you do pledge anx it succeeds you get a high quality game that's going to be made one way or another. It doesn't seem to occur to a lot of people that these guys are taking so long because they are constantly short on funds. It has nothing to do with their ability, they wowed publishers when they first started working in 2005, and when the publishers dropped them during the financial crisis they lost almost all their funding and work slowed to a crawl. Please support these guys they deserve it and they will deliver if you only believe in them.

I think the surprise was cool, but it wasn't as spectacular as I wanted. Nonetheless, I have upped my pledge by $20!

    11. Kabber on November 23, 2012

i've pledged 150$ so i think that upping my pledge is (unfortunetly) out of the question
since i've just turned 17, but don't have a job currently.
if i won millions in the lottery or even thousands i would pledge most of them here, but i don't think my parents would allow me that since they barely let me pledge 150 to you guys.

I've already pledged more than I can reasonably afford to... Sorry, but unless someone helps me pay my rent next month, I will not up my pledge any higher.

      Update my pledge?

      You got it!

    14. Interstellar Marine on November 23, 2012

Seeing is believing! Update your pledges everybody!
