The choice of movement will depend on the supply at the end of the campaign. The ETA is preferred, but supply is limited and harder to come by. We don't want to delay production due to this and hence will pick the option that fits the timeline.
According to Swiss Laws, a watch has to have 60% of its cost (not parts) originating from Switzerland and have its assembly done there. We are able to meet this requirement with a small price increase of approximately 20%.
However, we feel that this is not required. This will mean you are paying more for the EXACT same parts, quality and finish. All for the 'Swiss Made' label.
Why 'Swiss Movement' then? Movements are the heart of a watch and the most susceptible to failure. The Swiss movements have an advantage over its Japanese counterparts and hence we went with them.
