During the campaign we've come up with several community challenges, that unlocked awesome new content in Code 7. They have all been successful so there are three side stories and characters in the final game.
Linnea, a teacher at Oriens-Station on Mars, will confess to you that she has smuggled her twin sister Jenna onto the station, because administration has denied her stay. They both share Linnea's identity. But when her sister suddenly goes missing, she gets worried someone could have found out and asks you for help to find out what happened to her.
Marco is a car mechanic, living in New Berlin with his family. After an incident, he will save your friends and asks you to retrieve a very special file from the location your heading, in return. A file that reveals that he hasn't always been "just" a mechanic.
Blue is highly skilled technology thief, who breaks into the location you will be infiltrating in Episode 3. Your paths will cross and make things a little more complicated. Will you be able to work together or will you be in each other's way?
Modern Feeling – Code 7 is a fully voiced text adventure, with animations, music and sound effects!
Accessible – Don't worry if you're not a fast typer, the game will help you with auto-complete, maps and more. There is also a prototype version for visually impaired people, it can be found here.
Symbiosis - Team up with the main characters of each episode. Talk to, navigate and protect them and in return they will help you.
Epic – Travel through the universe to stop the deadly Code 7 virus over the course of six episodes.
Atmospheric – Your mind will create the setting of the story. Let us show you how creepy things can be when you don't see them.
Multiple Endings – There are important choices you will have to make in every chapter which then determine how the finale, Episode 5, plays out.
Around 8 hours of gameplay – Depending on your playstyle, each episode will have a playtime of around 1.5 hours.
Indie – We, Kevin Glaap and Zein Okko, are an independent team, and we want to stay that way, evolving this project together with you, the backers!
Humanity longs for the stars and is about to leave Earth behind to settle in new galaxies. Previously, a small team of professionals sets out to establish the first interstellar colony but the station has abruptly and mysteriously gone silent.
Two agents, Sam and Alex, are sent to find out what happened and find themselves face to face with an A.I. that threatens the whole of humanity. Now it is up to them to stop it, find out the true motives of the A.I. and what Code 7 exactly is.
And when a third force enters the ring, it becomes even harder to distinguish who is a friend, who is a foe, what is reality, and what is the truth.
The whole game is an MS-DOS-like system you use to solve puzzles and advance in the storyline. Special commands manipulate objects in the game, hack into systems to get information or passwords, and communicate with characters so they can be your eyes, ears, and hands as you help navigate them through dangerous environments.
You will have a list of available commands depending on where the characters are or how you are connected to the network. The commands are linked so you can access system hierarchies.
A command always consist of at least two words, for example: door.unlock. However, commands can also be longer, such as system.interface.bgcolor.setblue.
Each episode will introduce a new character (or characters) whom Alex will have to work with, together, as a team. You will have to make important decisions that will influence their course in the story and define their relationship with you in the final episode (provided, that is, they survive...).
Depending on your choices, characters will think of you as a friend or an enemy and the finale in Episode 5 will change, accordingly.
In the course of the game, you will learn various hacking techniques to solve puzzles and break into systems, like the Brute Force or the Man-In-The-Middle-Attack.
The latter will be embedded in mini games that increase in complexity over the course of the game. We want you to not only feel like a hacker but also gain a rough understanding of what hackers do.
The game features a minimal map which shows the location of the main character and the surrounding area.
You will have an overview of the area, but the people you're talking to won't, so you have to navigate them from location to location to investigate.
Sometimes you will have to help them sneak past dangerous individuals.
The puzzles in Code 7 are very versatile and most of the time are a combination of the above mentioned mechanics. Sometimes, you'll just need to find a login-name and password, another time you'll need to equalize the pressure levels of two rooms and at another place you'll have to get rid of a bunch of robots guarding an important computer. We plan to have different approaches to a lot of puzzles, so you can use your creativity to solve them. In Episode 0 for example you will have to deal with an evil robot, and there are two different ways of doing so. We want to have a lot more ways to solve puzzles in the future!
With Code 7 we want to create a deep and thrilling atmosphere, that's why it's so important to us to have good and fitting audio. We have already mentioned the great voice actors, but we also implement a variety of sound effects to go along with what the characters do or experience in the game. The Soundtrack is specifically composed for the game and is done by Zein. Listen to the Soundtrack of Episode 0 on Spotify.
Goodwolf Studio is a small, independent game developer based in Germany, founded by Zein Okko and Kevin Glaap.
We are working together with the sound studio Knights of Soundtrack to find and record professional voice actors.
We already have two great voice actors on board: Jessica Carroll and Jack Luceno, who are voicing Sam and Bradley in the Prologue and did an amazing job portraying those characters. We hope to work together with more great actors when the Kickstarter is successful.

We're two people, creating this game. We put a lot of effort, money and time into it. Now we need your help to finish the remaining five episodes. Since we have an explicit need for the money, we're dividing the money usage pie charts into what we'd do with the 15000€ and what we'd use any additional backing for.
A very important part of Code 7 is that the dialogues are all voiced by professional actors, which greatly helps the atmosphere and storytelling. Good voice actors, however, are very expensive. We went all-in to create the prologue but we need your help for the remaining five episodes. Help us raise 15.000€ to give the Code 7 characters the voices they deserve!
Any backing that goes beyond the initial- or stretch-goal financing (see above) will be used to further develop the overall quality of the game.

Risiken und Herausforderungen
If the funding is successful, we are aiming to release Episode 1 in April 2017. However, we can't guarantee a release in this month since the development is closely tied to finding and recording the right voice actors, which also depends a bit on their schedule.
Otherwise, we see no immediate problems with keeping the schedule, but unforseeable delays can and do happen. In any case, we will always keep you updated and if any delay should occur, we will communicate it in time.
We'll try our best to not let that happen, though.
