About this project
Where we featured
Parents and teachers feel helpless when it comes to educating and protecting their kids online. For them the internet is a maze. They are concerned about:
- Inappropriate Content
- Stranger Danger
- Excessive Internet Use
As parents we do not let our children cross the road, we teach them to cross the road. Equally with the internet, we should not let our children just use the internet. We should teach our children how to use the internet.
Zeeko Internet Safety Guide
Our objective is to raise €5,000 to put a digital copy of the Zeeko Internet Safety Guide into every primary school in Ireland.
The Zeeko Internet Safety Guide will help parents and teachers navigate the internet and teach their children how to use the internet responsibly. They will find out how to protect their children online and get peace of mind.
Discover how to:
- Set safety settings
- Protect your child’s digital footprint
- Talk your kid’s language
- Protect against cyberbullying and stranger danger
- Defend against excessive internet use
- Safeguard against inappropriate content
With practical examples and expert advice for the non-technical parent, you will discover how easy it is to protect your children online. Whether you are looking for plain English explanations or want to be up to speed on the latest trends for kids, this parent friendly guide gives you the tools you need.

How We Got Here
My wife Linda and myself believe the internet is a fantastic resource for children. Equally we believe that children should be safe online. We do not agree with the negativity created in young peoples’ lives due to the internet.
We initially thought the solution to protect kids online was a technical solution. We quickly realised the solution had to be education. We have committed two years of our lives and a substantial amount of our own resources to bring about change through education. We believe there is a better way and we need your help to make this change.
Our team has expanded significantly over the last 18 months. We are focused on educating children to protect themselves online. We have backgrounds in Psychology, Digital Marketing, Social Media, Communications, Information Systems, Animation, Early Childhood Care and Education, Accountancy and Business.
