Gordon's Bluff - An Adventure Module Made for the 5E D&D and the Pathfinder role-playing game systems.
Near the wild sea, looking out over the ocean, stands a large cliff named Gordon's Bluff. In the shadow of Gordon's Bluff was a mostly happy and prosperous fishing hamlet. High above the hamlet, on Gordon's Bluff stood the Great White Lighthouse.
The lighthouse stood for generations as a symbol of safety and prosperity, guiding ships from miles away to the hamlet. But then one night, the Great White Lighthouse went dark. Screams and blood filled the night air. Each night since, evil green eyes look out from the top of the dark lighthouse, down onto the hamlet.
What had been their greatest blessing, has now become their greatest curse. Evil monsters now run rampant in the Great White Lighthouse. Destroying all who venture near. The poor survivors of Gordon's Bluff are in their darkest hour. They need a hero. Could it be you?
Gordon's Bluff is an exciting new nautical adventure module from Zan's Adventures. The module is setting neutral, so that you can work it into any game world that you wish to. This module is designed to work as a side quest, a one shot, or feel free to incorporate it into your own main campaigns.
A Pick Up and Play Adventure
Gordon's Bluff is designed to be a Pick Up and Play Adventure. What do we mean by that? There are a lot of great adventure modules out there, but many of them require you to spend a fair amount of time reading the module before you run it.
That is great, when you have the time. But we know that life gets busy. Sometimes, you don't have the time to read a whole module before you run it. Sometimes you just want to pick up a module, and be able to run it right away with your friends. That's where we come in.
Gordon's Bluff is designed to be played with only a few minutes of preparation. Key points, skill checks, items, and decisions; stand out in bold text so you can quickly find what you need. Ability/Skill check successes and failures are clearly set in boxes to make it fast and easy to find the text/results you need. No more fishing through paragraphs of text to try and find key points. But don't just take our word for it, see some of our page examples below.
Gordon's Bluff was designed and playtested for groups from level 2 to level 5, Dungeons & Dragons Tier 1 (Technically Tier 1 is levels 1-4, but that is the closest Tier the Adventure fits in). Feel free though to make the monsters/skill checks easier or more difficult to custom tailor play for characters of any level. We believe in the design philosophy that the module is a suggested story, which the DM can take as is, or change in any way they see fit. You are the captain of this adventure.
We plan on delivering the PDF via DriveThruRPG. Last year we ran a successful Kickstarter for a different module (Marek's Haunted House), and we were able to deliver the module within a few weeks of the completion of the Kickstarter. If this Kickstarter is successful, we plan/hope to have the Gordon's Bluff's PDF's delivered in the same amount of time.
Thank you for taking the time to look at our Kickstarter campaign. Please consider sharing it with friends.
Risks and challenges
The module is already 98% finished. It has been playtested, and formatted. Right now we are just creating and adding some limited art work. It is already playable. So even in a worst case situation we can still release it for people to enjoy.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
