It is the Sengoku period, an era of great unrest within the gravely compromised empire of feudal Japan. Your emperor is nothing but a figurehead while the shogun holds the true power. There are many men who desire to hold the title of shogun and then there is You...

Bushido Breaker is a 2-4 player card game that takes, on average, 30 minutes to an hour to play.
Bushido Breaker is a hidden movement game that involves deduction, strategy, reading people, and calculated risks. You choose to play as the ninja or as the samurai while your opponent plays as the rival faction.
As the ninja, You are secretly moving from location to location, killing samurai and/or sabotaging the alarms along the way. Your main goal is to kill all the samurai or sabotage the required number of alarms, before going into the Shogun's Chamber and assassinating him.
As the samurai, You control up to seven samurai; each in a different location. You are looking to catch the ninja by noticing him in the act of moving locations, sabotaging alarms, etc., or by countering a ninja's attack and killing him.
I created Bushido Breaker because it is the exact type of game I wanted to play. If I can get it out there for others who are looking for this kind of game, I will have done my job!

When purchased, you will receive 70 poker-sized cards, a rule book, and a 40 sheet tracking notepad - all housed within a travel-friendly tuck box.

“At the end of the day, Bushido Breaker is a deeply strategic game that will appeal greatly to a certain type of people, mainly those who like Chess or Risk. It is a game for thinkers, for those who enjoy puzzling over what the opponent is doing and how to best them.” Take a look at the full review article HERE.

"An excellent deduction card game for two players, becoming very strategic when played as a team. Bushido Breaker uses a mechanics of game very little exploited, the stealth displacement..." For those fluent in French, take a look at the video review HERE. For the dubbed version, take a look HERE.

Playing as the Ninja:
The ninja chooses to start in one of the two entrances, without the samurai’s knowledge. The ninja chooses his location and writes it on the tracking notepad. An example to reference is shown on the notepad.
With four players, there are two people playing as one ninja each. They can coordinate their moves by showing each other their tracking notepad and/or whispering.
On your first turn, you have several options: 1) kill the samurai in your location with your Kunai 2) kill a samurai at an orthogonally (not diagonally) adjacent location with Shuriken 3) Hide at your location to confuse the samurai into thinking you moved 4) Move to an orthogonally adjacent location 5) Sabotage Alarm at your location 6) use your special card if applicable. Once your card is chosen, lay it facedown. This card must now remain unmoved.
Playing as the Samurai:
Point to which samurai card to use (one action per samurai, per turn); select the action card you will use at that samurai’s location.
If there are two people playing as samurai (3-4 player game), wait for the ninja to lay down his/her card and record his/her move on the tracking notepad before discussing your plan. You have a counter to every ninja action card which either notices the ninja or kills him. In a single turn both samurai players cannot choose the same samurai to perform both actions.
Choose to use your samurai from one of the two entrances, being unaware of which the ninja occupies. On your first turn, you have several options: 1) use your Katana to counter the Kunai at the same location 2) Check Alarm to notice the ninja’s attempt to Sabotage Alarm 3) Check Exits to notice the ninja’s attempted Move from your location 4) Search Room to find the ninja should he Hide 5) Move your samurai card to a new location 6) use your special card if applicable.

I'm raising funds for this project mainly to get this game manufactured and distributed throughout the World! This is also to help pay for marketing and promotion, so I can reach an even wider audience as well as future retailers. This is just the start of many more board game designs to come! Thank you for all your help and please share this with all your friends.

I am manufacturing and shipping the game through Longpack Games, in China. Shipping is World-wide! Shipping to US, Europe, Canada, and Australia will cost you nothing other than the shipping you already paid! You don't have to worry about any VAT fees, customs fees, or any other fees.

Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge for this game, like most others, will be getting the game manufactured and shipped to you on-time. My goal is to have shipping completed by mid-December, 2017.
I have already received quotes and approvals for manufacturing and confirmed shipping estimates. The game design and art are 95% complete, though I'm sure I will have a few tweaks here and there as we progress in the design. I will be completely transparent with you every step of the way!
