Before, After, & In Between has been something that's been gradually building since December of last year. It's a comic anthology put together by yours truly with the help of eleven other talented artists, whom I've been fortunate enough to have as friends.
We had to wait almost a year to prep and reach to the right time, but the end is nigh. Soon it'll be December 21st, 2012, the day the world is supposed to end. What better to have by your side as you hide in your bedroom and wait for The End than a book with 12 different stories about…well, The End. It'll help you forget your own troubles at least...
This softcover, perfect-bound book will contain approximately 250+ pages of both color and grayscale comics, all of which are completely original and unique made for this anthology. We need your help to get these stories on paper for the very first time.
As the title might suggest, the book is organized into sections what would happen before, after, and in between the events of the supposed "end of the world". In each section, there are four stories to follow. Total of twelve brand new stories for your viewing pleasure.
The contributing artists are as followed:
- Taylor C. AKA EnEnKay
- Geraldine Chan
- William Gibbons
- Marina Julia
- Yuj Lee
- Yasmin Liang
- Kathryn Mann
- Nathan Maurer AKA CaptainOsaka
- Mai K. Nguyen
- Emma Rand
- Monica Ray
Please take a look at our group tumblr to see more of what will the book contain.
We gotta be real with you, rewards are limited as the book itself is the trophy of our labor. All of them will be numbered because there will only be a small amount of books printed so get it while you can!
We have even a smaller amount of the special obi-wraps for your books!
They will be letter-pressed on sturdy paper for that extra class. Here's a little preview of what's to come:
The PDF of the book will be at web-res, but fret not. This E-Book will be more than comfortable to read on your computer, iphone, and what have you. This will be emailed to you on December 21st 2012, so make sure to check your email inbox then!
The postcards will come in a set of four, three of which will have original illustrations from some of the contributing artists.
And for few of the top tiers, we have offered to give you a special thank you within the book. We will be emailing you about few details so please check your inbox towards the end of the this Kickstarter campaign.
Certain artists have offered commissions in addition to all the work they're already doing for this! So if you have a favorite artist and have always wanted to request a drawing from them, for a little extra NOW YOU CAN!!

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Aside from collecting, polishing, and organizing the comics from the artists, the only challenges left are with printing and shipping. To get the book made in quality that matches the content, I'm giving myself a time cushion to ensure the quality of the finished product.
After that, only the God of postage mishaps stand in our way. We are taking extra efforts to make sure he doesn't get a chance to screw us over!
Yes we do! Just check "add $10 to ship outside US" at the check out.
As you can tell, we are printing in limited numbers. If there are any extra, I'd love to sell them at cons or online. However, there is no guarantee that there will be any books left and the books will definitely increase in price after this Kickstarter. Only sure way to secure your own copy is to back the project now. It's up to you if you want to take the chance tho ;)
