About

I am a born-again Christian converted from Buddhism, through the encounter with Jesus after my relative sister's evangelism. After that, I studied the Holy Bible many years. Since 2010, I have been trying to visualize the Holy Bible using 3D animation software (iClone). Then, last year, I heard of Immersive technology hackathon and  joined it. Then, I didn't have VR HMD & controllers. Also I didn't know how to make VR games. But using my 3D animation skill, I created a prototype to win a prize (around $50 per person in the team) in that hackathon. Since then, I was motivated to make VR game and eventually I made a draft version of biblical VR game based on Ephesians 6, titled "The Armour of God". But there is no obvious game flow and what to be done by the player is not obvous. And, objects with texts are textual in flat rectangulars or flat circles, which should be imporoved to be animating custom 3D objects with text engraved on the 3D objects, with the help from a 3D artist. Also it would be good to give some information about each armour. For example, the game could give the player audible description on the belt of truth to help the player know the true meaning of it. Just as an idea, the game could be further developed to have different game play on each item, too, in future after this version of the game has been completed.

* Existing items (belt, breastplate, shoes, shield, sword, helmet) in the game have been downloaded from google 3d warehouse.

Risks and challenges

I am a software engineer. Currently the game is based on simple features (pick up, drop off, teleport). In the game, Custom 3D art ojbects should be added to improve and complete the game. They can be done by hiring a 3D artist. I can add a speaking narrator (a human character) to help the player. A voice-over artist may be hired to add the contents of the speech of the narrator.

I have BSc degree in CS obtained in South Korea and MSc degree in CS obtained from the University of Auckland. I have various IT skills as shown in my biography. I have developed many websites and managed and worked with a team for web projects.
