Publishing my recovery/yoga book to bring full life recovery
Publishing my book on how to bring intention to full life recovery.
I am working to publish a new edition of my book, Building Blocks of Recovery through Balboa Press, a division of Hay House. While I enjoyed self publishing and received many positive comments from the people who read my book, it is time to get my book into more hands.
Every day I work with addicts and I see the fear, devastation and there is a lack of information about how to rebuild life from complete loss. While there are many program out there that teach how to grow one aspect in life, there are few resources that assist in a full life recovery. Many program don't take into consideration the addict, the mentally ill , the chronically ill people. They don't understand how frustrating it can be to relearn how to build a life and environment that supports recovery , how to make your social circle, home and body a friendly place to live again.
Building Blocks of Recovery , the book does just that. I move the reader from the psychological to spiritual, from environmental to nutrition, to movement that can become life affirming and bring the breath of hope into life. I continue that support with my web page, social media, and weekly podcasts.
My eventual goal with my work is to travel and meet those people who could benefit from the work of non judgmental love and to hear the affirmations that their life is important and worth saving using my book and teaching.
The reason I began this journey was to share the tools that saved me from addiction to others who have not yet found hope. I have buried and attended so many funerals of friends who couldn't find the hope for their life. It is time to start bringing hope in a mighty way for people to be able to live with and make improvements to the life they have.
For me, my work is about helping people to remember that they are magic. That is what my book is about, magic that will look like work and will reap benefits of people, families and communities of hope.

Risks and challenges
One of my challenges has been that with a self publishing package, I have been left with few tools to be able to get my book into the hands of someone who could be helped. Using the Balboa Press support, I will become both more knowledgeable about book marketing, able to use their highly successful system to get my book into more book stores , on a well known website store of Balboa Press ( and may be selected to be sold on the Hay House site) and to be able to schedule book signings. ( My goal is to actually reach people and tell them there is hope!)
I will be supplementing the information and training from Balboa with my own webpage, podcasts and social media presence. No matter what, it is my life's mission to help addicts and their families find hope.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
