Patrik Gochez’s upcoming LP Heavy Loader is a self composed, arranged, conducted, performed, and produced creative effort. It is due to be released in April/May 2012….if he can get the funding.
Though, Patrik plays a myriad of instruments on the record, he does invite both talented childhood friends and orchestral session musicians to lend their talents. At times, the quirks in Gochez's voice call to mind Harry Nilsson, John Lennon, and David Bowie. Heavy Loader is evocative of 1960s and 70s "pop and rock standards" with the use of modern production techniques.
The writing and recording is done! Funds made on Kickstarter will go to mixing, mastering, printing, album art, web development, and press. I am so close to making this album a reality.
Please help Patrik Gochez make his NEW ALBUM!
Easy! Though the entire album won't be released until we are completely funded, you can hear some of the music at http://soundcloud.com/patrik-gochez/sets/heavy-loader-1/.
Good question! When we recorded "Yellow Ribbons" for the album, I hired 22 musicians from the New England Conservatory to play. Each musician used a book in order to know their part. At the end of the session, each of them were gracious enough to sign all the scores. This is what they look like! http://imgur.com/mN7xY
