“I love the idea that people choose what they want to see in the future whether it’s clothing attire, decks of cards, board games or jewelry items. There are so many options on this platform. For me, choice is important. Everyone gets to decide whether or not a project gets backed.”
It will take approximately 8 months to create all the keychains. The rest of the products have already been designed and simply require final formatting. The desktop backgrounds have already been organized and can be exported and uploaded to the file hosting platform. The video (Stretch Goal portion) will proceed to final filming and scripting and then it will be rendered. Printing of the Giclee prints and regular images are ready to go ahead. Once all is completed, the items will be shipped to the fulfillment center for packing and mailing. This will take approximately another 3 months to reach the respective owner.
My name is Yasmeen Gagnon R.-Balee and I’m the creator of “Dark Waves - The Art of Yarkspiri Fantasy Art” as well as the owner of the site. I’ve worked in the animation field as a Background Painter, as a Custom Framer and sales associate in an art supply store. For background painting I've worked on shows such as “F is for Family” season 1, “The Loud House” season 1 to 2 and “Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz" Season 2. On top of all these, I’ve been maintaining my YouTube channel for over 7 years and although my schedule has changed depending on my availability I have been rigorous in maintaining it as active as possible. It was thanks to these job opportunities and side projects that I was able to finesse my skill-sets as an artist. I am now looking to making my products more widely available while maintain their quality.

Risks and challenges
As someone who’s successfully self published a book, I have taken extra care into making sure that all items are delivered to their respective owner. In order to minimize any potential risks and challenges, alternative suppliers for the resins, pigments and shipping have already been located. Since most of the work is being done at my studio or locally, I will have a greater amount of control over the end products. I personally have invested in machinery to help with my production line and have limited the number of items available to help ensure this Kickstarter’s fulfillment. Most of the expected delays will likely occur during the shipping process since certain forms must be properly filled out to ensure an expedient delivery. It is also for this reason that I will be using a well known fulfillment company in order to facilitate this process.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
