Explore an intriguing and insidious Planet led by the subconscious of the main character.
RED GODDESS is an action/adventure game. The gameplay boasts a couple of original mechanics, such as “split character", and "enter the mind of enemies".
- The game world will be a Metroidvania game style, in a non-linear fashion. From safe towns to dangerous caves and dungeons you must traverse an interconnected world with alternate paths.
- Shoot, Punch or Sneak. The 3 playable characters have their own unique skills and abilities, which brings along different gameplay strategies with them. We are turning combat into a puzzle, the players will find a dozen other ways to use their skills to get past each challenge.
- Explore a mysterious Planet led by the subconscious of the main character. Planet itself, is a character you have to fight and interact (Go to "Planet" section for more information)
- Split character gameplay, you can select a “half” of the main character (either rage or fear). The other half is inactive and appears as a ball. You can grab this ball and throw it to: damage enemies, or access out-of-reach areas.
- Enter the mind of enemies. Stunt, and enter the mind of your enemies. As you take over their minds, it’s like walking through a door: you access to secret new chambers with puzzles to solve, and items to loot.
- Unlock Powers. You have to find and collect the crystals of memory to unlock new abilities of the skill tree.
Explore a mysterious Planet led by the subconscious of the main character.
The whole world is aggressive, and will try to block your way. Fortunately, you have to be detected first, and the Planet can only find you if the alarm bar is full. There are many ways to trigger the alarm:
- If you go too far away from your other half
- If you are detected by special "eyes" enemies
- If you take too much damages in a small time period
- If you don't solve puzzles well
Once you've been detected the Planet will activate a quarantine area to attacks you. There is many different possible attacks, depending the zone:
- throwing more enemies in the area
- (in darkest zones) your half turn back against you
- opening traps, closing doors
- enemies are more aggressives
To off the alarm, you have to exit quarantine area.
The Planet is composed about 2 different zones: neutral zones and darkest zones. Neutral zones are located on the surface of the planet, and early part of dungeons. The Darkest zones, infested by the bad thoughts, are closer to Midboss and Boss. Their air is toxic, and you have to use the rage or fear character to be safe.
Divine's enemies are her own bad thoughts revealing itself, she needs to get rid of them all to unlock the next zone.
The dark tunnels hide horrible creatures, followers of the bad thoughts of Divine. Little by little, they are corrupting each parts of the planet.
The story revolves around a troubled goddess named Divine. Her mind has become clouded and ill, and Divine is haunted by her past. A mysterious and unknown corruption is tearing her apart from the inside, destroying her mind, her soul, and eventually her, altogether.Our journey begins when Divine decides to right this wrong by stepping inside of her own consciousness, a planet within her own mind covered in mountains, forests, caves, and untold dangers. Discovering who she is, who she was, and what she'll become is our quest, but we soon realize that there’s more to this than we thought.
Jordi Carazo,Game & Level Designer, has been working both in level and game design at Tequila Works (Deadlight), Grin (Wanted: weapons of fate), and Pyro Studios. He started working on amateur for half-life 1 modifications around 2002. He's also a teacher of Unreal technology.
Game director, creator of many award-winning 3D shorts and music videos. His most remarkable work is probably I lived on the Moon music video. A longtime 3d animation veteran, since 2002 Yannick has worked in France and Spain, as animator, story-boarder, 3d artist, and director. Yannick is an exploration/adventure game fanatic, and he enjoys to cook homemade pizza (including pizza dough) :P
Yanim Studio Animation is historically a high-end CGI animation and visual effects studio. We have provided digital production services for computer games, commercials, music videos, animated series, films. Our work has been awarded several times for their compelling visuals and storytelling. Our team is based in Spain (Valencia). We actually have a game development team of 6 person, composed of people who have worked for games such as Gothic, Deadlight, Wanted weapons of fate...
Sound design and music is actually done by the orchestraman Sylvain Guehl.
We will also work with the YouTube sensation Ronald Jenkees (music of the trailer) to do an awesome original soundtrack of the game.
Another important member of our team, Jason Summers, is involved with PR and marketing strategy for our US based operations.

Risks and challenges
Actually we have a prototype, and it is focused into classic platformer, but the idea is to make an action/adventure game.The core gameplay is a metroidvania (non-linear 2,5D action adventure platformer), with some unique features, mechanics, and an open world.
Games are complicated and expensive projects, but RED GODDESS has been scoped appropriately for our fundraising goal. The more backing we receive, the more content we can create, and the better the game will be!
All of this takes a great deal of time and money, and we hope you will support our campaign to achieve this together.
For us, making this kickstarter is a big challenge and a great opportunity. If the project is completed with the expected level of excellence, it will be a really cool game!
