Hey backers… you should totally check your Humble Key page. I think there might be something there for you. Something that you’ve been patiently waiting for. It’s just a little early… because we love you a whole lot. Shhh… don’t speak. Just enjoy the moment.
For all of you backers out there, you can now redeem your copy of Shovel Knight -- on 3DS, Wii U, PC, and Steam. We covered the exact step necessary to redeem your code in Monday's update under “How To Get Your Copy Of Shovel Knight”. So give it a look see! For clarification, the Nintendo versions are NA only, and the PC version is Windows only. We're working to get the rest out as soon as possible, so stay tuned!
A big “Thank You” to Humble Bundle, Nintendo, and Valve for providing the support to make something like this happen!
For all the non-backers out there, get ready to download the game on 3DS, Wii U, and PC at 11am PST.
Help!: If you have any trouble accessing your key or account then contact Humble Bundle at: email@example.com. If you’re having trouble playing Shovel Knight, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org . This way we can be absolutely sure that all members of the team can help you out directly with your issue. Please do not ask for assistance through Kickstarter-- a comment timeline makes for poor communication and not all members can assist through private messages.
Platform Changes: We tried to hold off as long as possible, but at this point platform choices are absolutely locked in. We cannot consider platform changes once you have received a platform code since we have method to verify whether your copy of the game has been redeemed. For Nintendo Backers who are not in the NA region: we can still process platform requests since codes have not yet been requested.
Wii U Players: You’ll be embarking on your Shovel Knight adventure before the game is out for everyone but Shovel Knight’s Miiverse community will not be available today. Expect it to be live at Thursday, June 26th at 9 a.m. PT. Until then you can still play every dirt covered inch of the same game as any other platform -- just without access to the Digger’s Diary!
Breaking the NES
On a side note, while your game is downloading, check out this neat article David wrote on the ways in which we don’t follow the technical restrictions of the NES: Read it here!!
