The International Space Station Operations for Microbes in Space Have Begun!

Beginning today, November 16, 2017 at about 7:30 AM EST (12:30 PM GMT on the ISS), Astronaut Mark T. Vande Hei swabbed three items around the station: a laptop keyboard, the galley (the astronauts' kitchen), and a tablet. He also began a control test. Soon, we'll be able to see what small life exists around the astronauts as they live and work in space!

Thanks to Lt. Colonel Vande Hei for bringing space research to learners everywhere.

Want to take part in this research, and see how the small life in space compares to the small life in your home or classroom? Reserve your kit today.
