The key ring was invented more than a century ago; a simple device that holds our keys together. It's something we have, but don't think about until we have to add or remove a key.
Key rings are hard to use, requiring force and prying. They chip fingernails, hurt, and cause relentless frustration.
When it comes to one of the most basic tools of our lives, we accept the shortcomings of the traditional key ring. Why?
We set out to improve the key ring.
We had three criteria:
1 - Be super easy to use.
2 - Be very secure.
3 - Look clean and function better than any other key ring.
We made it. The best key ring ever. Period.

We came up with a key ring that meets our requirements. Everyone who tested the Kii RING™ asked if they could keep it because a traditional key ring doesn't even compete.

We've also put lots of thought into the types of key you carry. If you are like us, you must have at least one key with a small hole. To account for this we designed a mini version that is identical to the Kii RING; the Mini Kii RING.
This smaller design works in tandem with the Kii RING to help you sort your keys. You can use the Kii RING System to sort keys by use, building, or person.
How it works:
Kii RING is made from high grade stainless steel so it will last a lifetime. It has a protruded section near the end of the frame for easy lifting.
You can open the Kii RING in many different ways. You can use your finger to separate the end tab, or use the key to lift up the end.
With four different colors the Kii RING can be used as a way to sort your many keys, separate the keys for the whole family, or give you the last bit of refined class you are looking for.
Usability:
This new easy way to open the Kii RING provides more possibilities. With our design the Kii RING can now stand in as a mock carabiner. With the perfect amount of ease but strength the Kii RING can be used to secure bags, tie ropes together, or even act as a pulley system.
Travel is an important part of life. Whether it be to the city or the other side of the world we believe that your everyday items should be designed to get you where you want to go.

The system layout allows for another dimension of organization. With four small rings on one large ring, the Kii RING system can help you quickly swap out entire sets of keys without any hassle.

It has taken us almost a year of product development to be where we are today. We came up with many different designs, prototyped and tested them. We picked the design that is intuitive to use, easy to open, secure, super strong, and looks striking.

Risiken und Herausforderungen
We already have an experienced manufacturer lined up. They made the 34mm Kii RING prototypes for us and they performed to perfection the first time. We added the mini Kii RING later and don’t have prototypes with the protruded tab yet. That’s the biggest risk we have but we strongly believe they will work as well as the 34mm.
When manufacturing a new product for the first time we expect some typically production issues. We’ve built in some cushion in our schedule for this. We will work hard to minimize any delay.

We plan on shipping all rewards so that they arrive to your doorstep before Christmas. That is a conservative estimate, with some cushion in our schedule for unforeseen circumstances. We hope to start shipping sooner than December, but we cannot guarantee it.
