It’s time for Wright Planner Co’s end-of-year batch order! Wright Planners are printed on demand in the US, UK, and Australia so we can send your reward to you hot off the presses!
BOOK PLANNERS + WATERPROOF COVERS
Wright Planners are book planners - they have a super hard waterproof cover with a smooth, velvety matte laminate surface that make the 8x10 designs perfect to use as a spontaneous lap desk or in my case, a coaster.
Everything in the planner has been thought out - it is SUPER detailed -and no paper real estate has been wasted. The timeline is measured to fit sticky-note tabs and washi tape, and its daily boxes are now title free so you can label them whatever you want!
This year the 8x10s have 10 different internal design options to choose from with 5 cover designs. A lot of changes were made to the design between the 2017 and this year’s Academia version – now there are a few more tweaks to bring you the ultimate in customizable planners!
10 internal designs x 5 covers = 50 choices! PLUS THE NEW 5x8!
How will you know which to pick? Take a look at the 4 types of 8x10s:
ONE YEAR (2 hourly pages per week)
The first 2 out of the 10 are easy - they're the average planner setup of 12 monthly spreads scattered amongst weekly spreads that offer our super-detailed hourly timeline.
- ONE YEAR - week starts on Sunday
- ONE YEAR - week starts on Monday
Traditionally in the US a calendar starts with Sunday - the weekend acts like book ends to the line of 7 days. But lately the international Monday start is catching on because of the 5-day work week - the weekend is at the end of the 7 days so you can plan both days off together. We have both!
Is a one year planner just want you need? The timelines start before 7am and go to after 11pm and have extra space for notes, sleep, water, and step tracking, plus 3 extra habit trackers.
I made the Wright Planner customizable system because some people more space. Or less. Or something... different. Do you need more space each week? Extended! Or do you even need a weekly timeline? Want room to take note or practice the art of bullet journaling? Hybrid! What if you want a one year but don't need an hourly? Draft! What about something smaller than an 8x10? Basic!
EXTENDEDS (4 pages per week)
EXTENDED EDITIONS (3, 4, 5, & 6 of 10) are double the weekly space - 6 months each. They come with the monthly spread, weekly timeline spread, and a planning spread with dot grid, blank space, and a 4x7 planning grid.
- SPRING EXTENDED Ed. - Monday or Sunday start
- AUTUMN EXTENDED Ed. - Monday or Sunday start
Each set has 2 planners because all those pages in one would be HUGE! You will need to get 2 planners in your pledge if you want the set of Extended Editions - each one is the size of the one year. You can even pick two different covers!
Or maybe you're the type that doesn't really need a planner - you don't have a lot to write down so all you need is a monthly calendar - but it'd be great to have a 2-in-1 setup with your calendar and a journal all in one book!
HYBRIDS (no weeks, 2/3 journal)
HYBRID PLANNERS (7, 8, & 9 of 10) are 1/3 planner (12 months) and 2/3 journal - you have a choice between lined, dot grid, and blank pages. They only come with a Monday start to the week.
- NOTE - 12 months + lined pages
- GRID - 12 months + dot grid pages
- SKETCH - 12 months + blank pages
Check out this video to see how the paper holds up to pencil and Tombow markers!
DRAFT - Alternative weekly planning
And then there's Draft (10) - which is a totally new, completely different type of one year planner. It's part one year, part hybrid, with weekly options but instead of a timeline, it has daily boxes, short checklists, and a lot of grid space ready and waiting for your designs!
WRIGHT PLANNER BASIC
Outside your 10 choices of 8x10 designs is the new 5x8 option! BASIC made it's debut in student-form during the Academia Kickstarter - it's been revamped as Wright Planner Basic and comes in all 5 cover options!
5x8 undated 6 month planner with 28 weeks in list format: all the front matter of the Wright Planner has been adapted (not shrunk!) to a 5x8 page size and the months and weeks still offer sleep, water, activity/steps, and habit tracking.
5x8 undated 6 month planner with 28 weeks in list format: all the front matter of the Wright Planner has been adapted (not shrunk!) to a 5x8 page size and the months and weeks still offer sleep, water, activity/steps, and habit tracking. Same hard waterproof cover as the 8x10.
You unlocked the Stretch Goal!
Now you can get a dated version of the 5x8 - which means you have a Spring and Autumn choice in the 5x8 now! The covers will look similar to the 8x10 extended versions.
UNDATED covers will have a variety: Pinka-dot and Black Rain will be blank, White Noise will say BASIC instead of 2018, Silver Grey will just have the W, and Watercolor will look similar to the Academia version and say Wright Planner BASIC.
SO MANY CHOICES!
I know. And we are happy to help you figure out which one is best for you! Contact us through our Facebook page to get the quickest response, or send us a message on our website and we'll be happy to answer your questions.
Then choose a cover! There are 5 options: White Noise, Pinka-dot, Silver Grey, Black Rain, and Watercolor.
Here's a neat trick - if you want a 5x8 journal from the last Kickstarter - JOT (lined) or DOT (dot grid) journal or the H-DOT and H-JOT hybrid versions - or the remaining academic planner ACADEMIA 2018 SPRING EXTENDED, you can pledge for the $5 PDF then add the amount above.
- matte laminate coating on a hard cover
- #70 white paper (105 GSM) from eco-friendly tree farms
- acid-free paper and cover
- 8x10 = 168 pages
- 5x8 = 106 pages
Shipping is FREE to the US, UK, Canada, and Australia! For the holiday season, we decided to make all international shipping prices $20! This fee is for one planner but it is less per planner the more you order, so go in with a friend on the one you want!
EARLY BIRDS AND EARLY TURKEYS
Like last year, we're creating an early order for US backers around Thanksgiving - the first 18 to snag the EARLY TURKEY will have their planner hacked as well. You can add more to your order too!
EARLY BIRDS get first priority when we begin all the Kickstarter orders!
I could not have done this without the wonderful support of Alicia, Ashley & Sarah - you ladies are rockstars and I'm so happy you're on my team. A big thank you to Tiffany at my printing company for fielding alllllll my questions. Dr. Charney - for not having too big a fit when I said I was putting my dissertation off for a few weeks to make this happen and it turned into more than a year as I started a new company. And my parents, who always encourage me to dream.
To all the backers from ACADEMIA Kickstarter 1&2 and Wright Planner 2017 who made it possible for me to have a startup company selling something I love, thank you!!! And to future backers who will support this campaign, it’ll only make more awesome things happen in the future. Many many thanks!
Risks and challenges
This my the fourth time on Kickstarter and I learn more each time. The wonderful news is that because backers from the last three were so awesome, I am now my own publisher! I have a great team in place at the same printers from before who will help troubleshoot anything that comes up.
Our goal is to have all planners ordered and on their way to their new homes by December 20th. Kickstarter requires a 2 week buffer time after the campaign is over so we'll be contacting the printer as soon as that is over.
That said, things can happen. Anyone who has backed my planners before know I tell EVERYTHING along the way so that you have all the info of what's going on. I will be completely transparent with you throughout this process if anything occurs that will delay your planner. Which it shouldn't. But if it does, you'll know the who what when where and why.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
