We are only Canada friendly in a limited way. We can guarantee that all pledge levels up to the ‘Advanced Escape’ are Canada Friendly. However, due to Canada's import restrictions, if you purchase additional copies and/or add-ons we can't guarantee that your pledge will go through customs unimpeded. As much as we'd love to be Canada friendly, unfortunately as a small indie publisher it just isn't financially feasible for us to drop a pallet off in Canada (unless you can somehow whip up 1000 backers with add-ons and then we’ll seriously consider this option!). If you are unsure if your pledge will be Canada friendly or not, just message us with your pledge level and any add-ons (inc. additional copies) and we’ll let you know.

We know shipping can be quite a contentious issue and we have thought long and hard about how to best meet the needs of our backers whilst also minimising our risk. The risk we have is that the shipping cost to non-UK backers is almost double. This means if we have our numbers off even slightly, we could be looking at getting into debt before the project even starts. We therefore have 2 options:
1. Assume that every backer is from the most expensive region, artificially increasing the funding goal and delaying stretch goals being unlocked.
OR
2. Use a Pledge Manager and charge shipping after the Kickstarter, lowering our total funding goal.We prefer the second option as we don't want our estimates and calculations impacting what you, the backer get. Plus, there's the advantage that you can spread the cost of your pledge but still have some certainty with regards to shipping.

Shipping is a real cost to us. It’s actually one of the major costs of this campaign. Being a first-time publisher, we lack the size and influence to be able to get better offers from shipping and fulfilment companies but we’ve done everything we can to minimise the shipping costs and are providing a small subsidy on shipping just to take the edge off a little.
For example, we will be fulfilling UK orders ourselves. This means that we can fulfil UK orders at less than half the cost of our fulfilment partner. This is quite an undertaking for us but we felt it unfair to charge our home backers the same as our overseas backers and have a plan in place to ensure we do this as efficiently as we can.

Most of the previews you will see show Assembly being played with Euro mini-sized cards. However, based on feedback and in an effort for maximum accessibility we have decided to use standard bridge-sized cards in the final version of Assembly.
Last updated: -
They have a 25mm diameter and 5mm thickness. These may be increased through stretch goals.

The print and play only includes the base game of Assembly. We do not currently have plans to release the Glitches expansion as a PnP.

It took us a while to come to this decision but this is why we finally decided to go with a more standard sized cards:
- Larger cards are more accessible to both the visually impaired as well as people with physical disabilities. We do not want to knowingly exclude people from being able to enjoy Assembly.
- The box size for Assembly would be the same whether we went for mini-sized cards or Bridge-sized cards, coming in at around 11 x 14 x 3 cm (est).
- The total table space taken up by larger cards is less than 15 cm greater than the space taken with mini cards.
- We have a greater choice of manufacturer (although we do have a preferred one, few do mini sized cards and we'd prefer to have a back-up manufacturer!).Last updated: -
Unfortunately, by moving to a larger card size, the cards no longer fit in this box and so we have had to, regretfully, remove this add-on from the campaign.
If there is enough demand, there is a 10x10cm alternative that we could use.
Alternatively, you can pledge at the Participant pledge level to get a copy of a hand-made prototype or you can get the mini-cards as an add-on (see the next FAQ).

We now have a quote from a local manufacturer for the mini-cards and can now give you prices.
Please note, our primary focus is on delivering the campaign as set out and therefore we are not willing to do anything to jeopardise this. The mini-cards will therefore be an add-on, not a substitution.
Due to the machine set-up costs, we can only offer mini-cards if there are at least 50 backers wanting to take this option. The mini-cards will only be available to backers at the Advanced Escape pledge level or higher and will cost £16 (€18 / $21) per set.
Each set will include:
• Assembly Base Game
• Glitches Expansion
• Little Blue Box (hot foil stamped)These cards will use standard 300gsm cardstock (silk finish). This product is aimed as a travel version of the game for ages 14+ only.
It will NOT include tokens, dice or rules - you must use the ones provided in the standard game that you will receive as part of your base pledge. Also, please note, we are currently verifying fit of the upgraded tokens that kick in at the £15k stretch goal.
Please DO NOT add the cost of the mini-cards to your Kickstarter pledge!
We will use the Kickstarter survey at the end of the campaign, or you can immediately register your interest using the survey in update number 9. This survey is not binding, but please be honest!
Our back-up plan is to offer Advanced Escape or higher backers the option to use a Print on Demand service, with a small number of Little Blue Boxes being made available through our Pledge Manager.
We hope that you find our solution to your liking :o) Please don't hesitate to message us if you have any questions.
