Worn By Heroes is dedicated to producing premium quality, fashionable tshirts inspired by the movies and TV shows that we all love.

UPDATE: We just hit 50% BOOM!
We are the first luxury brand in the world for movie and TV buffs.
We love movies. We love TV shows. And we love showing off our intimate knowledge of a film or show with an awesome t-shirt which only our fellow hardcore fans will recognise. There's nothing like that moment of recognition on a strangers face as they clock the reference on your t-shirt.
We've got a huge collection of movie t-shirts from loads of different stores. Whilst the designs themselves can range from bad to awesome, we've found the actual product itself is always lacking in quality. The t-shirt is tough, scratchy and ill-fitting. The prints themselves are heavy slabs of plasticy inks that weight the shirt down and start to crack after a while.
We wanted to bring a product to the film and TV community that, as well as having a brilliant design, is also stylish, comfy and fits well; a product of the highest quality. We're using American Apparel t-shirts, which are soft, great fitting and sweatshop free. We're using water based inks meaning no more plastic on the front of your t-shirt - the fabric of the t-shirt itself is 'bleached' with the design. Once you try on one of these t-shirts, you won't want to wear anything else. We need YOUR help to make this happen.
The people behind Worn By Heroes are Steve Marshall, a Director Of Photography, and Mandy-Jane Jackson, an actress and singer. You can probably tell by our careers that we have a huge love of storytelling on the big and small screen.
We know there are plenty of movie t-shirt makers out there - what makes us stick out from the crowd? We want to give you better quality, more comfort and a thrill when one of our t-shirts comes through the post. Every part of our product is designed with love for the movies and shows we're referencing - from the t-shirt through to the packaging. Like going to the cinema or watching the last episode of Breaking Bad, we want to make our t-shirts an experience; creating a community that is more than just an online store. That’s known for being interactive, fun and completely awesome. A community that we all want to be a part of!
So here are the designs. We've worked long and hard creating 10 brilliant designs that celebrate some of the best moving images made for the big and small screen. This is just the start. After the official launch we'll be constantly bringing out new designs. Of course, we've got plenty of stretch goals for you that might just include a couple of brand new designs.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Check out the designs below!!
We know some of the designs are hard to see so we've uploaded them in hi-res. Click here to see them.
These products aren't all about the design printed on them. It's also about the t-shirt itself. We think the t-shirt is pretty damn important. Who wants to wear a horrible fitting, scratchy t-shirt? This is why we've chosen the 2001 American Apparel t-shirt. It's literally the best t-shirt money can buy. It's 100% cotton, slightly fitted and extremely soft, light and comfy. We've tried on a lot of t-shirts - and these are our favourite. As an added bonus, they’re also 100% sweatshop free, which I think you’d agree, is fantastic.
For the Kickstarter, we can offer shirts from XXS to 3XL. For the sizing information of the American Apparel t-shirt check out this link.
When we open the store, we'll be stocking the sizes small to 3XL. However we know some of you don't fit within these ranges. So when the store opens, we'll have a special pre-order system in place that allows people outside our standard size range to preview the design and order their particular size - at hopefully no extra cost. American Apparel have a limited size range so for t-shirts outside this range, we'll have to source different t-shirts.
The AA 2001 t-shirt is a unisex t-shirt. Ladies are advised to buy a size smaller than they normally would.
Once we open our online store we plan to release a new t-shirt design at least once a month, inviting you guys to have a say in which movie or TV show you would like to see.
We’re going to be recording a bi-weekly podcast discussing the newest film release, classic movies and the latest episodes of our favourite TV shows. We'll be talking about our upcoming designs and inviting you guys to suggest ideas and get involved. It’s all about creating a community of movie buffs and TV fans (like us) sharing our enjoyment.
We'll be constantly running competitions and quizzes allowing you to win t-shirts and vouchers for the store.
We have a number of cool awards for backers of this project. Obviously, the main reward is any number of our amazing t-shirts, but we've sorted out a few extras just for our Kickstarter backers.
All backers pledging £5 and up will receive all 10 designs in high resolution for your desktop wallpapers.
No British Kickstarter campaign would be complete without a mug reward! An massive quantity of tea was consumed during the designing of these t-shirts and this is our way to commemorate their sacrifice. There are four designs available:
Of course, we also have posters as a backer reward as well. Get any of our designs on an A2 sized poster on wonderful 200GSM bond paper.
The Worn By Heroes T-Shirt
These are exclusive to Kickstarter and will never be printed again. EVER!
Want this t-shirt plus one from the range? Select the reward for this t-shirt and then add £23 for each extra t-shirt to your pledge:
You may feel like we're trying to raise too much money here - after all how much can a printed t-shirt cost? Well, it's not just about the cost of the t-shirt. We're trying to build a long lasting, high quality business. Every penny we raise on this campaign will go to physical stock and supplies. We have to be extra careful that once the Kickstarter is over, we have enough stock to continue the business to the online store and release new designs!

Thanks so much for reading this far. Hopefully you've seen a design you like and are pledging already. The only way you're going to get your favourite design is if we reach our target of £15,000. We'd really appreciate your help in getting our existence and message out there to the world. Tweet about us. Like our Facebook page. Tell your friends and family. We only need 600 pledges for a t-shirt to hit our goal - that's not a lot of people if you think about it. Please, please help us reach the target.

Risks and challenges
Our main challenge will be on receiving too many orders! We'll be taking steps to address this problem during the Kickstarter - pre-ordering garments if necessary - making sure we stay on top of all the package and postage requirements as well.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
