Allies Airdrop!

Hi everyone.

As you can see we have updated the Stretch table with two key details. We now have a mock up of the free dice that will now be added to the War Stories Expansion and the SHAEF set is less pink.

Airdrop Dice

Kickstarter is awesome and those of you that have supported this project have enabled us to do something we would never dreamed possible without your support - namely Airdrop dice.

War Stories includes battle maps that have a special rule for airdrops. Our initial aim was to use the Unit Marker, MGF or RWB dice to represent this but now the airdrops can now have their own dice! And this is them:

The Black Dice will be included in War Stories (including Retail), but the gem green variant will included as an add-on optional buy and will be Kickstarter Exclusive

Th SHAEF set

The SHAEF set (or Pink set as its now known), has caused some discussion. We want to let you know that it is inspired by the classic RISK game concept of 6 colours of which the 6th was pink (D-Day Dice now has the 6 same colours).

As many of you have voiced the opinion that our initial "hot pink" didn't fit the overall color scheme of our other game components, we have adjusted the pink shade, toning it down a bit. It'll still be pink, mind you. According to some colour tables, we went from "Fuscia" to "Flamingo". Or, in DDD parlance, from "Sniper Target Pink" to "Camo Pink".

Pink or pink, you decide!

Stretched Goals and where they will end up!

We wanted to make it clear that the vast majority of the stretch goal freebies unlocked at both Corporal and Sergeant won’t end up in the main game, although some will (e.g. Airdrop dice and some battle maps). I hope the below will give good clarity for all and help people decide which pledge works best for you all.

Please note we reserve the right to tweak things around a bit as we unlock more and more stretch goals, but the general overview here will persist!

And here, I thought 'Pink' was an acknowledgment to Breast Cancer support.

      @Word Forge

By "the vast majority of the stretch goal freebies unlocked at both Corporal and Sergeant won’t end up in the main game" you mean "...won't ship in the retail version of the game", correct?

Just making sure I understood (not that it affects me, at my level!).

Pink reminds me of the Pink Panther Landrovers the SAS used:-)

Peter is correct. if it says added to base game it will also be added to the upgrade kit

I'm not Word Forge, but they have responded to this in the past. An upgrade kit will include everything in the base game except the box, dice, and resource cards. So in the above table, the only items it will have are those labeled "added to base game"

For items marked "KS Freebie" and "Added to Base Game", will 1st Edition folks get these in their Upgrade Kits?
