End of day two : Optimism!
Just returned from a local launch event here in Ottawa where I got to show off Quodd Heroes and got a few different scenarios to the table. I think everyone enjoyed themselves and had good things to say about the game. It really impresses me every time I sit down to watch people play. Watching as the game starts to click for them and their sense of discovery blooms and smiles start to appear. That moment when someone says "So if I play this card and rotate the board like this then dig a tunnel here I can do this and this?!?" And I nod and say "Yep!" and they're like "THAT IS AWESOME!" makes all of this Kickstarter craziness worthwhile. :) It is the reason why I want to make games! I honestly believe special things happen in Quodd Heroes that don't ever happen in other board games. Lets hope we can convince loads of other people to jump on this amazing ride with us because I really can't wait for all of you to get this game in your hands and see what you do with it!
Generating Buzz! : I have a favor to ask: I'd really appreciate it if each one of you helped spread the word about this game in some small way tomorrow, either online or in person with your game-loving friends. For my part I hope to engage lots more folks tomorrow and see if we can move the backer trend in the upward direction.
For those who participated in the LiveStream today: Thank you! I enjoyed engaging with you guys and plan to do another one either tomorrow evening or Friday. Let me know what date and time you prefer. I'm thinking early evening may work best. Also, I plan to LiveStream a number of games over the coming week so you can watch real people playing the game and see how fantastic it is!
Until tomorrow and a brighter future for Quoddria! (yeah, I felt silly writing that but what the heck!?) :)
