Woblet is on its way, a challenging word game where fun is guaranteed. The game that will wobble the world of the letter games.
The Woblet box is produced and can be played in six languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. If you order the game, you will have the option to select the language in the box.
Woblet is a word board game with different rounds where every player works with 2-sided letter tiles. These tiles are made from wood to minimize our plastic footprint and enhance player experience. Every side of a tile shows a big letter and a small letter. The big letter is the one you play with and the small letter indicates the big letter on the other side. And guess …….. you’re always free to choose which side of the tile you want to use.
Woblet lets every player play each round at the same time. The advantage, in comparison with Scrabble, is that there are no turns, so players don’t need to wait until every other players’ turn has finished. Woblet works with 2-sided tiles so you have more variety to create words. You have the option to play competitively and play to be the fastest of your friends. Order Woblet and enjoy forming your own secret words behind the screens in the blind date round.
Woblet is a village situated on the Woble banks of the Woble river. Woblet is a small and fun community where the Wobles, the habitants of Woblet, love to joke, laugh and chill with each other. The mascots of the village, Louise and Sarah, are shown on the box. These two cats have invented the Woblet game:
It is 6 o’clock Monday-morning. The sun rises and all the Wobles wake up in the Woblet village. You get out of bed, brush your teeth and head downstairs to do some morning gymnastics. Play the warming up round.
Warming up round: Every Woble takes 10 random tiles. Now make, as fast as possible, a word of at least 6 letters.
Have you warmed up? Ok, it’s time for breakfast. You take two slices of bread, smear some jam on them and browse your newspaper looking for the Woblet crossword. Play the Crossword round.
Crossword round: Every Woble takes 18 random tiles. Now make, as fast as possible,a crossword with all your tiles.
The clock shows 10 minutes before 9, time to suit up and go to work. You work as a trader on the marketplace, trading letters with your fellow Wobles. Play the Trading round.
Trading round: Every Woble takes 6 random tiles. Place 4 more tiles in the middle ofthe table. Now make, as fast as possible, a 6 letter-word. In this round, every Woble can exchange tiles by first placing a tile in the middle of the table and then taking one back.
You don’t have a partner to Woble with yet, so you go home to shower. You put on some fancy clothes and rush to the restaurant to go on a blind date. Play the Blind Date round.
Blind Date round: Every Woble takes 12 random tiles and makes a secret word of 6 to 8 letters. Shuffle and stack the tiles and pass the stack to the Woble left of you. Every Woble tries to guess the word they received as fast as possible.
After the lovely evening between you and your date. You get together with your friends. You head down to the casino to play All-in. Play the All-in round.
All-in round: Each Woble takes 12 random tiles and makes, as fast as possible, words using all the letters.
Before you know it, it’s two o’clock. You head home and get into bed.
Woblet is for both young and old. We recommend playing Woblet starting with children from 6 years old when they learn to spell and write. This gives them a good opportunity to enhance their vocabulary skills.
We will ship Woblet from Belgium with Bpost. Shipping costs depend on where you live and how many Woblets you order. As we know that shipping costs are quite high in relation to Woblet. We decided to offer the travel version of our first game as a compensation for the shipping costs. For free. For everyone who backs the project for at least €27. ( Value €15)
Woblet is our second game on the market. The first game was Passaportas that we launched last year in November. We sold over 2000+ Passaportas in Belgium and now we are expanding to other countries. Woblet will be the first game we launch directly worldwide via Kickstarter. We worked over a year to test and perfect the game and now we are finally ready to go “live”.
We already have all the designs and contacts made to start production. Production will start from the moment we achieve our goal of 4.000 euro. We expect to have produced everything by mid October and finish assembling end October. This way, the Woblet games should be delivered in November this year, guaranteed before Christmas.
Evelien G.: Easy to start. I can play it anytime.
Annick D.: A versatile game. I actually don’t really like word games but the more I play Woblet, the more fun I have. It’s absolutely 10.000 times better than Scrabble.
Risks and challenges
Through our experience in past board game projects, we are confident about our shipping dates, so the project shouldn't suffer any issues that could result in a significant delay on delivery.
Despite this there are certain factors that are beyond our control and as a consequence may affect delivery. For example, last hour additions to the campaign, such as new Stretch Goals, can delay the planned delivery time. In any case, we will provide regular updates about the state of the project.
We can refund you within 14 days of the campaign’s end, fees included. After that, we have a policy of no questions asked, though that’s minus Kickstarter and payment processing fees (which we can’t get back from them after 14 days).
This project is being funded in EUR and any refunds processed will be in EUR for the exact amount received in EUR, excluding any applicable fees depending on the time of the refund being processed.
