How does the iDockAll 2 work?
The iDockAll 2 is very easy to use: secure it to your desk and the sticky pad will allow a true one hand undocking experience. The special cable head that we have designed tilts back and forth in the dock allowing the docking of practically any Smart Phone or Tablet (see below for more details on compatibility). If you pull your phone straight up, it detaches from the dock. If you move your phone back first, and then pull up, the head is released. This means you can keep using your phone without interrupting the charge. Perfect if you're low on battery!
True One Hand Undocking
True one hand undocking means that you only need one hand to undock your device from the iDockAll 2, grab it and go! Unlike other docks that rely on weight or other tactics to try and offer one hand undocking, the iDockAll 2 uses an adhesive pad that is guaranteed to work.
Works with almost all Phones & Tablets
The iDockAll 2 was designed to work seamlessly with a vast majority of smart phones and tablets on market with or without protective cases. The first cable that will be made is the lightning cable for Apple devices but we added two stretch goals to also make Micro USB and USB Type-C cables.
Note: The Micro USB and USB Type C are currently Stretch Goals. We will update the page when they are unlocked.
Release System for Uninterrupted Charges
The special cable head of the iDockAll 2 allows you to release the cable from the base of the dock to continue using your smart phone or tablet without interrupting the syncing or charging. This can be really useful! For example, you're really low on battery, just started charging your phone and an important / private phone call comes in? Now you can take that call. No other dock offers this option!
Made out of Premium & Durable Materials
- The Body
The iDockAll 2 is made to last! The body of the dock is made out of a solid block of anodized aluminum and is extremely sturdy with a weight of 6oz (180g).
- The Cable(s)
In order to ensure durability, the cable is made out of high quality nylon and MFi Certified. If in the future you change your Smart Phone and go to a Phone that has a USB Type C connector you will be able to order just the cable from wiplabs.com, which makes this dock completely future proof. Similarly, if you need to replace the cable or get new ones, the cost is low and you don't need a whole new dock.
The Micro USB and USB Type C cable are now also AVAILABLE! You will also be able to get a second cable of your choice with an Add On of $9 Per extra cable!
- The Micro Adhesive Pad
The micro-adhesive or stick pad under the iDockAll 2 is very durable. It sticks with a quick press and is very strong. To peel it off, firmly press on the resting arms of the dock until air seeps under to the micro pores. With time those pores may get dirty but you can easily clean them with water. With care and cleaning, the sticky pad should last indefinitely. If for any reason the pad loses its grip within six months, we'll replace it for free.
A Simple and Beautiful Design
The iDockAll 2 was designed to blend in perfectly with other high end products. It has the same shape, materials, and finish as the Mac Mini and many of Apple Products.

The Stretch Goals
The Development Process
To develop the iDockAll 2, we went through a series of 3D prints to first confirm that the different functions would work. Then we produced the cables as we knew this was going to be a difficult part.
We tested the cables in the 3D prints, adjusted the drawings and ordered the first CNC sample.
The CNC sample confirms the iDockAll 2 works like a charm. We then made another CNC cut of the body, this time with a perfect sandblasted finish to see the final result. We're so excited!
The most difficult part to predict in our timeline is going to be the MFi certification as we are dependent on third parties. We are looking at starting this process as soon as possible as it could last more than three months.
Launching the iDockAll 1 and the iMacompanion has taught us precisely how to successfully completed a Kickstarter campaign, and we know how challenging it can be. Our priority is, and has always been, to make sure our backers are happy with their purchase and the service they have received. We are very proud to say that in the vast majority of cases, we have succeeded! We intend to do even better in this campaign.
We are now 100% ready. All processes have been carefully tested, allowing us to establish confirmed lead times of manufacturing. We are confident to say that we will be able to ship within five months of the project's funding.
Please let us know if you have any questions or comments, we would love to hear from you.
And of course, feel free to share this project with anyone who is looking for a great docking solution for their phones and tablets!
Thank you warmly for your support!

Risks and challenges
We knew right from the start that the most challenging part of the iDockAll 2 would be the special cable head. Therefore we decided to fully develop and produce them ahead of the Kickstarter campaign to ensure we wouldn't have any problems.
The lightning cable has been extensively tested for charging and syncing with a wide variety of Apple products. And although we cannot guarantee it at this stage it's being submitted for MFi Certification.
Having already successfully completed two Kickstarter projects (iDockAll and iMacompanion) with similar molds to the ones we need for the iDockAll 2, we are confident that we are going to be able to manage most risks and challenges that come our way. Of course please let us know if you have any questions!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
