FEEDING MR. BALDWIN is a story about two childhood friends who coincidentally reunite during the oddest of times. Drew is house sitting for a potential employer when Kamal, a door-to-door knife salesman, happens to stop by. Having not seen each other in over fifteen years, they’re unwillingly thrust together when a box containing a dead body is delivered to the house. As an array of wacky and occasionally threatening characters begin to stop by asking questions about the body, Drew and Kamal must scramble to deal with the stressful situation all the while confronting why their friendship ended in the first place.

My brother Zach and I have always wanted to make movies. From a childhood spent on recreating westerns in the woods of Alaska, to our formidable years in Washington where we produced HOME ALONE 3 before HOME ALONE 3 ever existed, to more recent days where we’ve been active in everything from shooting advertising promos to writing bizarre sketch comedy— the goal of making entertaining motion pictures has never left us.
This spring, with the help of an amazing team (including the likes of producer/actor Anil Margsahayam, editor/post supervisor Tom Flynn, cinematographer Corey Winetraub, and production designer Brendan O'Connor), we're going to tackle that goal with our first feature length comedy, FEEDING MR. BALDWIN.
While we’re more than confident we can make a great movie with very little, we’re still in need of a decent amount of money to pull it off. Because we want to pay the cast! And we want to pay the crew! And we want to make the movie look and sound phenomenal!
Thus, we beg/implore you to help us in making this dream become a reality by donating to our ambitious cause. It doesn’t take a lot—just whatever you can spare. For those of you who can spare more, there are some great rewards like limited edition t-shirts and posters designed by artist Connor Mooney. Other fun incentives include seats at a super hip, super secret six course gourmet dining event and also the possibility of having characters in the movie named after you. But of course the best reward of all is just knowing you had a hand in bringing a story to life.
So thanks in advance for doing whatever you can to help make this happen. Your support and generosity will not be forgotten. For additional info, watch the teaser video above, read more about the project below, and visit FeedingMrBaldwin.com.
Thanks and all the best,
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What are we doing?
We are trying to raise enough money to begin production on our feature film, FEEDING MR. BALDWIN. We’re planning to shoot in Los Angeles in April if we reach our minimum financial goal of $60,000. So we need your help! At the end of the day, we just need 600 friends to donate $100 each. That's it!
Where can I learn more
about the project?
Visit our website, FeedingMrBaldwin.com. There you’ll see a synopsis of the story, updates on the crew and cast, behind-the-scenes pics, and inspirational tidbits.
Is my pledge amount
No. Only we will be able to see your pledged amount.
If I donate, when can I redeem the incentive? All incentives, big and small, will only happen if our goal is met. When we do meet our goal, we will begin to manufacture and ship any physical merchandise within 6 months of when the shoot has finished. Certain items-- like the DVDs for example, can only happen after the film is completed-- so this will take a bit of time.
What if I don’t want the incentive, I just want to
No problem, there is a button that you can select if you don’t want the reward.
Can we exceed the goal?
ABSOLUTELY! This would be awesome. Kickstarter will allow as much money as is given before the deadline. This is only the beginning of our journey with this film-- there is so much still to do even after we finish shooting.
Can I increase my pledge once it’s been made?
YES! Once you donate to our campaign, you may want to change your incentive reward to a different one, or increase your pledged amount. To do so, go to Kickstarter and sign in. If you go to our campaign page, the green “Back This Project” button has been replaced with a blue “Manage Your Donation” button. Click it and you can enter a new amount, or choose a new incentive.
Can I Gift An Incentive?
YES! If you would like to donate to the film but give the reward to someone as a gift, go through all the normal process of making a donation in your name. For billing purposes, this action must be in your name. After our deadline, we will send a message to you on Kickstarter. (It will be forwarded to the email address you provided) We will request things like your t-shirt size and address from you at that time. Please reply with all the person’s information that is to receive the reward. We'll make sure they get it!
What happens if the money isn’t raised in time?
If our goal isn’t met before the deadline, no money changes hands and no movie is made. But we really want to avoid this scenario at all costs.
Who does the money go to?
Every cent (minus fees for Kickstarter’s involvement) will go directly to the FEEDING MR. BALDWIN movie budget. Your money goes directly to the funding of this film.
I'm not in the US. Can I still pledge to projects?
Yes. You can pledge from anywhere!
How do we contact you?
Send us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org. We'll get back to you as soon as possible!
