 THE ARTISTS

Nick Mann aka Doodles is a San Francisco based illustrator and street artist who's eye grabbing work can be simply described as modern day folk art (only it's not that simple). His creations are a complicated combination of delicately wheat-pasted pieces of paper, gritty spray paint, and eerie neon nordic creatures.

Pat Perry is an artist from Michigan, and is committed to real things. He currently lives and works itinerantly in the USA, spending his time drawing, painting, playing, writing, and recording what's left of the wild world. Although he is happy to be able to speak and have an audience through his artwork, he does his best everyday to listen and learn from the world he fell into during this rather peculiar and brief moment in history. www.patperry.net

The Cretin is a street artist and scumbag, according to his website, whose sculptures of roadkill androids are a commentary on planned obsolescence in industrial design. Inevitable loss, chaos and destruction are just some of the modest topics in his work. His creations depict tragic moments of mechanized animals’ lives frozen in time and colored with bright neon plastic and LED’s. He currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.

Overunder lives in Reno, NV and creates art in public spaces throughout the world. Burke works primarily on the street applying his work through wheat paste or paint under the name OverUnder (OU35). He currently runs The Big Little artist residency and prefers to live where there are NO mosquitos.

Dennis McNett aka Wolfbat was born in 1972 and grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. He moved to New York in 2001. He has been carving surly block prints for over 18 years. His graphic aesthetic and love for narrative work has been translated in many ways. His work ranges from larger than life Viking ship performances and parades in Philly, resurrecting Nordic giants on West Broadway in Manhattan, Dragon slayings in Oklahoma, masks, installations and sculptures to unique hand-carved wood cut pieces, traditional relief prints, and graphics. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Juxtapoz magazine, Thrasher and Complex Magazine.

Geoff Hargadon is better known for his print campaign, “Cash For Your Warhol.” By day he manages a wealth management practice in Boston, by night he is a street artist with a scathing statement on the status of the economy. He currently resides in Somerville, Mass.

Eighty Eight is a Brooklyn based street artist whose images of discord and chaos are both beautiful and dizzying, entrancing those passing by his work on the street.street.

Jufe formerly of the collective “La Pandilla” blends stark contrast with intricate line work in his depictions of morphing animals. Though based in Puerto Rico his murals can be seen in Miami, New York and all around the world.

NDA is a Portland native turned NYC illustrator hit the streets running with a strong and unique style. His heavy-handed brush work and comical characters nestle within many of the forgotten grooves of Brooklyn. Unlike the typical graffiti characters found on the street, his work is like a troubled second cousin. One can’t help but be fascinated and slightly repulsed. Not to say they are grotesque but that they are grotesque, as the word was originally intended to be used.
