Wildly is an alarm clock app that helps animal lovers donate to wildlife conservation charities simply by snoozing in the morning. Pick your favorite animals as alarm sounds. Wake up to their roars, howls, squeaks, and bellows. If you snooze, you'll make a donation to a conservation fund helping the species that woke you up!
We are snoozers...
For most of us, snoozing is just part of the day. However, it's hard to avoid the inherent guilt tied to every single snooze. At Wildly, we want to change that. What if the guilty feeling of snoozing could be turned into something good for the world? Since we are animal lovers, there is only one solution…
Enter Wildly. Wildly is the first ever charitable alarm clock for wildlife. It seamlessly combines the act of snoozing with supporting wildlife conservation.
First, choose your favorite animals to wake up to in the morning. Wildly brings the animal kingdom into your bedroom every morning and replaces the routine buzz of your old alarm clock with tiger roars, elephant trumpets, wolf howls, and so many more.
In the morning, the choice is yours. Dismiss the alarm and rise to meet the day...or snooze, and donate to a conservation group which protects the animal that is sounding as your alarm.
Wildly let's users support wildlife conservation in an interactive way that fits into everyday life. Choose your favorite animals and diversify the charities you support with the tap of a finger.
Each animal on the Wildly app is assigned to a specific charity that has a program aimed to help the species and or its ecosystem.
On Monday, you could snooze to the call of an orangutan, giving a dollar to combat deforestation from palm oil, and on Friday you might give another dollar to the fight against snow leopard poaching.
A Deeper Dive into Wildly...
Gathered from the best scientific and professional sound libraries available, our collection of animal vocalizations contains species from every continent and ecosystem. Elephants, apes, big cats, birds, whales, wolves—you name it, our library probably has it.

Animal Odd Balls
From binturongs to beluga whales, the wildest and weirdest sounds on planet earth will wake you up and help you seize the day.
For every species listed on the app, we invite you to dive in and learn about its habitat, range, behavior, and conservation threats. Lastly, follow a link to the connected conservation fund for the species in order to learn more about their mission and specific programs.
Give what you can
Use the donation slider to pick what donation amount works for you—25¢, 50¢, 75¢, or $1. Once you set it, you can forget it...or change it anytime to suit your comfort level.
Part of Wildly's goal is to make donating to wildlife conservation fun, easy, and transparent. At anytime, you can review how often you’ve snoozed, which charities you’ve supported, and how much you've donated.
Natural Soundscape Library
Because we know that falling asleep is just as important as waking up, we’ve created a library of soothing natural soundscapes from around the world to help you drift off to dreamland. Listen to a cascading waterfall in Thailand or a Venezuelan morning choir of songbirds in. Just set the duration length and the player will cease automatically.
Our software platform greatly reduces large overhead costs such as office space and staff. Because of this, Wildly only deducts 3-5% from every donation to cover our low operational expenses.
Since Wildly is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all donations made through the app are tax-deductible. When tax time comes, simply send your tax receipt from the app to your email.
We look at Wildly as one of those rare win-win-win situations. Our success translates into increased funds for the best wildlife conservation organizations, which in turn, translates into healthier wildlife populations.
If you snooze to the chuff of a snow leopard (that's right, snow leopards can't actually roar, so they "chuff"), then it is very important to us that your donation goes to directly assist snow leopard conservation. Therefore, all connected organizations on Wildly are required to have a current program which specifically supports the linked animal species and/or its habitat.
It's also a priority that users can evaluate the financial performance, accountability, and transparency of the linked organizations for themselves. CharityNavigator.org makes it easy for anyone to look under the hood of 1000's of non-profits. To participate on Wildly, all organizations need an overall score above 80 out of 100 from Charity Navigator. Or, the organization must be affiliated with an accredited university.
The flow of funds through Wildly operates like this...
1.) A user snoozes throughout the month adding to their donation total.
2.) At the beginning of their billing cycle, Wildly will charge the user’s credit card for their accrued donations.
3.) The total amount generated for each charity across the Wildly app will be direct deposited to the respective organization's bank account.
4.) At the end of their billing cycle, every Wildly user receives an email with a complete breakdown of their monthly donations, including which charities they gave to and how much was donated.
With a user base of 10,000 users…snoozing once per morning…for 30 days…each donating a dollar…Wildly would generate $300,000 a month for wildlife and environmental conservation around the planet.
Increase the number of users to around 33,000…and we will be collecting close to $1 million a month to benefit wildlife!
The support of the Kickstarter community is crucial to the success of Wildly. We're asking for your generosity to raise crucial funds in order to finalize Wildly.
We are very close to having the iPhone version of Wildly finalized and ready to launch on Apple's App Store. However, several sizable expenses still lie ahead of us. First, we'll need to license all the photos, animal vocalizations, and soundscapes from wildlife photographers and sound libraries. Next, various legal expenses and filings are necessary before Wildly is ready for its debut. Furthermore, not everyone is an iPhone user, and we are anxious to start working on an Android version of Wildly. Lastly, your pledges will help us cover our initial servers costs.
Knowing what is happening in the world is the first step to making a change. The Wildly News Feed will take the world's wildlife news and filter it into one simple location. All tweets, Instagram and Facebook posts from our connected charities and other selected sources will be fed in real-time to the app. Wildly will be your one stop shop for feeling up-to-date on the conservation conversation.
