WIDOW'S WALK is a supernatural horror/thriller with lots of scary moments to keep you on the edge of your seat. It's the debut feature of ALEXANDRA BOYD and goes in to production in Suffolk UK, in November.
We are well on the way to financing the shoot, but...The film's finale has an action sequence set in the north sea & we need to shoot it in an underwater tank.
THAT'S WHERE YOU COME IN...
We don't want to spoil the story for you but suffice to say this sequence is the most important and dramatic climax of the film.
Read on to find out why....
Eve's lost her husband in Afghanistan. She takes her young son to a remote Suffolk beach to grieve, but there's someone else in the house grieving her loss from another war...
Strange things begin to happen in the house as a malevolent spirit begins to emerge from the murky depths of the past. Eve knows she must flee the house with her son, but grief and loneliness are heavy burdens to let go.
The final underwater climax is a dramatic, cinematic and deeply moving super natural struggle under the roaring waves of the North Sea.
This creation of this battle is something we want to open up and share with you, our audience.
We shot this on location last November...
We're shooting in the UNDERWATER STUDIO in Essex and they've given us a really good deal. Specialist diver (Dan Travers) will train the actors to work underwater. We will shoot for four days in the tank. We will hire divers to be with the actors at all times and underwater cameraman, Sam Spurgeon will be operating with a specialist underwater gaffer and crew.

Whether you pledge £25 or £5000 - EVERYONE gets a special thanks in the credits and EVERYONE receives an invitation to the backers only screening event and Q&A at the home of the British film industry BAFTA.
The BAFTA screening for BOXER ON THE WILDERNESS was a huge success. Alexandra got to show her appreciation and explained how important it was to have her backers' support - without which the film would not have been made.
The WIDOW'S WALK team want to do the same for you. We want to acknowledge every person who's supported us because you will have been a part of bringing WIDOW'S WALK to life.
If you can't make it to London, we've got that covered too. The event will stream live online from the Princess Ann Theatre in Piccadilly so you can be part of the action where ever you are in the world.
A Message From Elaine Marley (£50)
Alexandra is the voice of Governor Elaine Marley in the cult LUCAS ARTS computer game MONKEY ISLAND. For a £50 pledge she will record you a personal message for your outgoing voice mail message or ringtone.
Inspirational Posters (£250)
A friend of Alexandra's has donated poster-size versions of these lovely images which she used for inspiration throughout the development process for WIDOW'S WALK.
We will have them on the wall in the war room of the production office during filming. The cast and crew will sign the back and we will send them to two lucky supporters when we wrap.
CREW HOODIES (£100)
One of Alexandra's original, signed STORYBOARDS (£75)
One of only THREE LOOKBOOKS (£275)
Signed by the cast and crew. These books are full of images and backstory and inspiration, put together by the producers to explain the story of WIDOW'S WALK and help finance the film.
A POSTCARD signed by the director (£30)
REMEMBER - no pledge is too small. If everyone reading this pledged ten quid we'd be well on the way to our goal...
IT DOESN'T END THERE...
Once you have donated, you will be in the WIDOW'S WALK FAMILY which means you will get regular updates as we go through the next steps.
We are about to add actors to the cast, so you'll be the first to hear who they are. We'll shoot video updates from the set, when we wrap and during the edit and share them with you and you will get all the info as we screen at film festivals and on how to get tickets and take your friends when we release the film at PICTURE HOUSE CINEMAS.
And of course you will be on the guest list for the premiere screening at BAFTA...
YOUR SHARING COUNTS TOO #mostimportant
REMEMBER - We don't get a penny if we don't reach our goal, so once you've pledged, please share on social media and get the word out there to as many people as possible and invite them to be part of our film.

Risks and challenges
We don't like to think about it, but every feature film, large or small, is a risky undertaking. There are many elements involved in the process leading up to the financing, producing, shooting, editing and completing a movie.
The producers of WIDOW'S WALK are a skilled and experienced team who are dedicated to making the best possible film - to say that we are highly motivated and passionate would be an understatement.
But in the real world, things sometimes happen that may delay production or delivery of the film. With your investment in our tank sequence, we minimise the possibilities of that happening but there's always the chance of delays, for example, due to changes in availability of actors and crew or some snafu in production - but the more funds we procure through your support, the better the finished film is and the lower those risks become.
