A passionate journalist meets an edgy scientist with an invention he hopes can change the world. He feels he needs permission to do something so drastic, but she believes her role is to tell the news, and not make it.
Since he found a swastika on his sister’s grave, Mikel wanted to live in a world that couldn't happen, and she'd be alive. And maybe he can do that, without anyone even knowing, thanks to the device he's invented...
Our previous Kickstarter funded film 'White Lily' raised over £4000. It took us to 15 festivals around the globe, racked us up 6 awards, 329k+ views on YouTube’s premium sci-fi channel Dust, as well as finding a home on Amazon Prime. This time we wanna do the same thing again but smaller! Wait!? What? Smaller? That doesn't make any sense.. Except it kinda does. White Lily was an amazing experience, one we're super proud of in every respect. It was also a film that required major post-production to realise the effects we wanted. And that took a lot longer than any of us imagined. The wait was worth it, and when it came to hatching a new collaboration, we had two criteria:
1 - Minimal post-production. 'Citrus' can be turned round pretty quickly. That means if you back 'Citrus' you'll have the pleasure of watching it within 6 months.
2 - A story beyond the story. 'Citrus' will be a quality short film. And it will also act as proof of concept for a larger project, something we believe may attract industry attention.
It would mean the world to us if you’d spread the word by simply pressing the Facebook and Twitter buttons on the right of the page. Just two clicks makes a HUGE difference!!
Please suggest this page to friends, family, co-workers...anyone you think would be interested. The more the better!
Risks and challenges
Tristan and Adrian are adept at delivering multi-faceted creative projects with logistically complex elements.
Tristan has completed numerous shorts, and made 400 corporate films, sometimes in difficult conditions overseas.
Adrian is experienced not only as a writer, but as an exec producer assembling teams to deliver complicated multimedia projects.
The team for Citrus is tried and tested, and 100% committed to the project.
We will be using professional grade equipment and creating multiple back-ups of all files. Naturally, we will be insured for all eventualities.
That expertise gives us the confidence that we can meet any challenges that come up. We're still open to the unexpected however, and will do what we can to deal with situations as they arise.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
