We need $12,000!
We're renovating a 1975 camper into the W+B food trailer so we can bring a delicious menu to the streets of Bpt, CT and beyond!
Enter Dixie our Doughnut Diva. She's strong, cute, and totally thrilled to soon be pumping out an extensive slew of doughnuts, both sweet and savory.
So, why is our goal set at only $6,000?
Because we don't get a penny of pledges unless we hit our goal. As much as we love taking risks, setting a higher goal and NOT reaching it puts us back to square one.
Let's crush our goal and KEEP GOING!
––––– How the Money Will Be Used–––––
The process has already begun with hours and hours of gutting, demolition, and lots of sweat... glamorous, lady-like sweat of course! By contributing to this project, your monetary gifts will set these renovations on the fast track.
Here are the milestones.
- with a total of $3,000: First, we need to purchase the boring stuff: insulation, flooring, ventilation hood... the real bones of the interior. And while it's not very exciting, it is VERY important to get the basics perfect.
- with a total of $6,000: Here's where Dixie gets to go through her first cosmetic surgery. This means cutting new, big windows, extending the roof slightly, and fixing any essential structural changes like doors, joints, and hitch.
- with a total of $9,000: Oooooh, it's getting fun! Sinks, counters, doughnut fryer, fridge, fixtures, shelving; All the larger items that give us the ability to bang out delicious bites.
- with a total of $12,000: And now for her final makeover. That includes a fancy, funky paint job, decor accents, awnings, and extra little gems that will make her one dynamite doughnut diva.
Beyond $12,000: If we reach our dreamy goal of $12k, and folks still want give... please do! Every decision we make is very thoughtful and cost efficient. If we have extra dolla, dolla bills y'all, that means we can step up the quality of appliances and materials.
Risks and challenges
What happens if we don't make the full $12,000?
We keep pinching pennies on our own and chip away at renovations as quickly as we can with only funding it out of our little wallets. We're determine to see this happen one way or another.
We're also working closely with the local health department and veteran food truck owners, so any unforeseen hurdles and red tape are approached with solid knowledge and realistic expectations.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
