About three years ago I ended up walking into the darkest season of my life. To steal words from St. John of the Cross, I entered into the Dark Night of the Soul. Everything that I had built my life around came crashing down around me and I didn't know what to do.
Through this process I God taught me a lot of painful lessons. But that does not mean that this season was anything but hell. Even now, being out of it, I'm not sure I would not willingly go through it again. Even for the lessons God taught me in it.
But through this season I saw that one of the things which we, in the church especially, don't allow to be talked about is brokenness. And that's what I had become broken.
So this book is the story of how that happened. What I learned. How I sinned. The grace that was given me. And how God was with me at every step, even when He seemed to be anywhere but near.
This book is my evidence that no matter how dark the night, light always comes.
And my prayer is that in knowing my story, you'll find find hope in your own.

Risks and challenges
With any project like this there are risks involved.
For me I feel as though one of the greater risks is that once this book is published you'll know the sins that I have, more than once, tried to hide.
But on the publishing side of things...I plan on publishing through Amazon Self Publishing. This allows for me to be able to have this book available world-wide once it is submitted. This is also, from what I have seen/read has less risk involved for self publishers than other possible publishing avenues.
Though there is risk with anything involved, men who rarely take risks rarely do anything,Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
