Welcome back everyone!
If this is your first time here, you've arrived at the second big expansion to the HC SVNT DRACONES tabletop role playing game miniature line.
This line of minis contains modular parts for anthro figures in the 28-30mm scale range, suitable for just about any tabletop game but made for HC SVNT DRACONES, which has recently entered its second edition. You can check that out here if you're curious!
The existing miniature line began with biped bodies, anthro heads and tails, and a variety of arms. Our first expansion introduced a huge number of new body types including tauric forms, which turned this into one of the best lines to check if you have a tauric character.
Now we're on to expansion number 2, where we bring in characters and critters that are iconic to the HSD franchise instead of general sci-fi themed models. While this is more niche than the previous HSD mini kickstarters, it's also going to produce some of the cooler, larger, more dynamic and exciting sculpts for the tabletop. Awesome monsters like Owls and Palemen, unique playable character types like Exonymphs and Cogsunes, Fan favorite creations like Active armor, and a big list of stretch goals including characters from the novels, books, and extended lore. If you're an HSD player, a mini collector, a fan of unique sculpts, or just a supporter of small business, this is an awesome one to get in on.

All four expansions are part of this kickstarter, for a total of at least 24 new store models. But there's more to be had here! The stretch goals for this expansion include Character duos and expansion reinforcements all the way up to $18,000, adding figures for many of the featured characters in the HSD books as well as augmenting the existing miniature line.

Risks and challenges
For the past two miniature kickstarters I have been working with Imagine 3D miniatures, who handled the sculpting and the interface that allowed for custom in-browser model configurations. Alas, Imagine 3D closed up as a company, which shut down the custom mini designer. That was definately an unexpected setback.
This time however we're dealing directly with shapeways for the miniature line, which is where the originals were printed through anyway after they exported from Imagine's browser program. Shapeways is a large and established firm with thousands of clients, so while we may have lost the ability to build the custom minis in browser, it is unlikely we'll lose the ability to print them at this point. Moreover, now that there is no longer a third party involved, the minis from this kickstarter will be cheaper to buy than they otherwise would have been.
