About this project
In an effort to CELEBRATE our TOUCHDOWN DANCE IN THE END ZONE - now that we have crossed the goal line of $25K - an anonymous donor has set a challenge for us.
For the next 24 hours, every dollar you donate to the WEZMORE Kickstarter project will be matched by an anonymous donor, up to $5,000. WOMP!
If you have been waiting for that crucial time to really make your dollars count - this is the time! Your $50 donation will DOUBLE to $100 when matched by our donor.
BUT ONLY FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS!!!
GO TEAM WEZMORE GO!!!
I am truly excited for the opportunity to take all these years of experience of being a singer, songwriter, storyteller, opera singer, performer, teacher, Dad of two, and capture on CD & DVD for you & your family, the "bottled joy" that we have come to affectionately call WEZMORE.
That’s why we need YOU and your financial support!
Why a CD and a DVD? The CD will include original Eddie songs that are relevant to the spirit of WEZMORE + a wild and adventurous story (like I did on my Radio Disney show) that chronicles the creation of WEZMORE in a fantastical and whimsical way. I'm a big fan of listening to music and words because it allows the person to use his or her own imagination to make the story come alive. The DVD is a visual journey and will support the messages and thoughts on the CD side and vice versa, all for the purpose of building in our children a core of self-valuing; a self-valuing that is essential in dealing with the world they live in.
The CD & the DVD will use masterful storytelling, backed by innovative, engaging characters to deliver tools & messages that enable "happy, healthy humans." These messages re-equip children with their innate authentic power, a stillness that encourages diversity, empathy and resilience. These stories and tools, help audiences develop a deeper and more joyous ease, so it becomes second nature to be kinder to ourselves, to each other, to our animals, and to our earth. And because it’s music and film, it’s fun to experience!
WEZMORE is what I call "what I've learned along the way," a recipe for building those "happy, healthy humans." (Plus it is a word that was made up by a once upon a time 3rd-grader who still lives in my house, but now he's huge).
That along the way experience came from many places. The thousands of concerts in libraries, cafeterias, & gyms; writing and creating for organizations that include Disney, Barney, Chuck. E. Cheese, and Border's Books; and working side by side with not-for-profit groups such as SNOWBALL EXPRESS - created by the actor Gary Sinise - an entity that does miraculous work for children who have lost a parent at war.
Thank you SO much for your consideration. If you believe in this idea, I invite you to support us financially. There are a lot of great rewards for your pledges that you should definitely check out--even if you can only give a dollar, there is a reward for thee! Every dollar really does count. I stand at the ready for all questions you might have about our collaboration!
As you scroll down the page looking at rewards, I leave you with a bit of what others have said to me about WEZMORE on this unbelievable journey to bring the "wez" to the people. Following that, some pictures of rewards, an mp3 that is related to a reward, and last but not least, Microdictater Spontaneity!

What others have said...
From our awesome director/videographer of this project, Andrew Holzschuh: "WHY WEZMORE? Because every human being on the planet deserves a chance for hope, grace, happiness, health, purpose, adventure, life & love."
Psychologist Dr. Deborah Miscoll: "When our children, in essence, learn to "wez," they consciously choose to grasp the opportunity to flourish in the face of all that is good and fine in the world, and act with resiliency in the face of challenge."
A text...Karen Foster: “I think I get it now. Lovemore, peacemore, joymore. WEZMORE.”
Legacy Academy in Elizabeth, Colorado: "Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, WEZMORE."
From Marianne Webster : wezmore | wez•môr | 1. a word that we play with. 2. a way that we practice. 3. a world where we matter, prosper, and care; where we watch how we harm if we dare; make a difference you and me, that's right, we're the WE, yes WE are the WE in Wezmore.
Shakespeare: "To wez or not to wez, that is the question."
YODA: "Able, you are, tough, needed and a creator. To live properly, a participant in making the world a better place should you be. Extraordinary creatures, all of you. Friend to all, enemy to none. A force, Wezmore, with you is."
THE HAPPY ONE mp3!
Last but not least...
This is a backstage pass to how I craft "stuff." My friends said the recording was tangential. I said, "But I am tangential." I do LOTS of somewhat random recordings as I am trying to get to the meat of the matter. I went ahead and kept it for your listening pleasure. Here I am describing the "bottled joy" of Wezmore to parents.
PLEASE PRESS PLAY. Transcript, for clarification below.
“So we will take that bottle of joy, joy in a bottle and we will shake it and we will not open it so it stays fizzy but we will take the contents of joy inside and we will smash it into a CD & DVD for your listening pleasure all the while teaching your children these beautiful and beneficial things and then from listening with them if you dare you will learn things yourself and happiness and peace and a culminating experience of love and sunshine shall brightly...yeah, that’s what’s gonna’ happen when we do this project, so anyway, just a recording for you. Love you.”
Risks and challenges
What are the risks and challenges? Awesome question. Good news is I am old(er) and have seen it all. Don't get me going. O.K., I'll go a little.
I have been incorporated since 1992, been through every imaginable up and down known to humanity in business. I know setbacks and HOW to deal with them. Have recorded 5 albums on budget and on time, wrote 36 shows for Radio Disney where I played 10 different characters all interacting with one another in a show called "The Weird Wild World of Eddie Coker." So it shows you I can handle the writing and the performing! Plus I LOVE it.
I have sung in 100's of opera productions and opera is hard. You have to sing in foreign languages, wear wigs, swing swords, kiss girls, and follow a conductor who is managing an orchestra of sometimes 80+ people and he/she is often HUGELY uptight, so you have to learn to deal with "stuff" in ways that keeps the peace and not fall into the pit! That right there should let you know I can handle up on my business.
Other than that, there's always the crazy outside possibility as the performer/artist that my ability to perform is compromised. Life happens as we all know, but I am tough and have always found a way through + I now am the Grandmaster of the Wez.
If you choose the packages that require travel from me or you, the inherent risk is the same as there ever is with travel. But if weather or something else prohibits travel on the dates we agree to, we promise to work with you to re-schedule.
I wez you wez we all WEZMORE!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
