About this project
Great Frontier is a comedy musical that re-tells the story of Lewis and Clark’s famous expedition without any historical accuracy. The show was written by comedians, Kevin Froleiks and Patrick J. Reilly, and will be making its off-off-Broadway premiere at the NY Theatre Festival’s Summerfest in July 2017.
The show runs for approximately 90 minutes and features 16 original songs.
In Great Frontier, Lewis and Clark are two losers who have never left their hometown. Meriwether Lewis dreams of doing something special with his life, and finally gets his chance when Thomas Jefferson sends Lewis out to discover the Pacific Ocean, along with his best friend, William Clark, of course. Later they meet Sacagawea, a member of the Shoshone tribe, who offers to guide them out west in order to satisfy her own desire to be a great explorer. Will Lewis and Clark prove to everyone back home that they are great explorers? Can Sacagawea show the world that girls can be great explorers too? Is Thomas Jefferson the great president we’ve been led to believe he is? We actually have no idea. This show has been very poorly researched.
Tickets are available now on BrownPaperTickets.com for all three performances at the NY Theatre Festival’s Summerfest on July 24th, July 28th, and July 30th!
We have 3 days left, so let's try and raise as much money as possible! We're only a week away from the first show and we're still buying props and costumes. With a little more money we can buy nicer props and fancier costumes! How fancy? That's up to you!
So we're trying to get another $250! So, we'll have $3,250 in total.
If we get to our new goal, anyone who donates $40 or more will receive a video copy of the show.

Risks and challenges
This is our first real production of Great Frontier. We did a live reading back in October of 2016, but this will be a completely off-book performance complete with costumes, props, and (oh yeah) a real theatre!
We have already begun rehearsing and by July we plan to have the show in amazing shape for everyone in attendance!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
