CRISIS AVERTED: A GEEKY PARTY GAME

ABOUT THE GAME
This game is a fusion of Tabletop RPG games, like Dungeons and Dragons, and Party Card Games, like UNO, Apples to Apples, and Cards Against Humanity. It uses a 54 card deck, which is split into two decks, a Hero Deck and a Crisis Deck. In the game we use elements of simple strategy, such as the Boot Card which disables a Player for a single round, and versatility thanks to the cards being designed to represent more than one hero. The game can also we enjoyed by all ages, but can easily be adult oriented—depending on your players individual personality. The leader for each round, The Overseer, decides which Crisis to play from their hand and give a scenario to the Players. The Players with their 5 Hero Cards in hand must choose one that would best solve the Crisis. It is the Players job to convince the Overseer why and how their hero would save the day. Crisis Cards deal with everything from the smallest of issues like a Bank Robbery, to more large scale events like WWIII. Once all players are finished telling their tales of heroism, the Overseer will choose one winner for the round and they keep that Crisis Card to add to their Averted Pile. The Overseer changes to the player on the previous Overseers left, and the game continues. First player to reach 10 in their Averted Pile is the Winner. If all Crisis Cards are used in play, the player with the most cards wins. Now, it can happen and surely will at one point as you play, what if there is a tie? Well that’s when WAR begins. Each player in the WAR draws 5 new cards, they then will pit Hero versus Hero in a showdown of wit and prowess. Players not involved in the WAR will be the judge(s).
Each Game starts with players getting 5 Hero Cards--this is an example of what they will look like.
Each round there is a new overseer going clockwise around the group of players, overseer's use Crisis Cards--this is an example of what they will look like.
Though the design is simple, it does offer a traditional card game look. Three colors are used in the primary cards in the game RGB (Red, Green, Blue). Overseers reserve the right to void one color from play each round, making the game challenging for players with for instance only two colors in their current hand.
Crisis Averted can be best described as a role-playing multiplayer party card game; where imagination and knowledge is pivotal to winning. Crisis Averted fuses traditional role-playing storytelling elements with the fun and competitive party game format. A game where you can show off your knowledge on fictional pop culture heroes and convince your friends that you can avert any crisis thrown at you.

Risks and challenges
The game is already created and ready to be sent to the printers; the risk in the campaign is faced by any production delays that may be caused by an overwhelming demand. We have several companies as other options besides are regular distributor--if an issue arises we will just have to manufacture our cards with a different company.
We have our prototype deck made and have put it through several trials and tribulations to ensure that the player has a positive and fun-filled experience with our game. Some cards have been edited and the overall card design has been tweaked slightly, but we are confident that the public will respond well to a game that they can show off their personal Comic Book Knowledge with and challenge their friends knowledge in the process.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
