We have taken the time to completely change the game based off of the previous campaigns responses. We kept some of the key game play elements that made the game fun and expanded upon it. Welcome to Crisis Averted 2.0!
Players take on the role of a Cybernetic Being that has been sent to our world to protect it from the Construct. Players will take turns devising scenarios and finding a solution to the Crisis with the Powers available to them in their hand.
Crisis Averted can be best described as a role-playing multiplayer party card game; where creativity is pivotal to winning. Crisis Averted fuses traditional role-playing storytelling elements with a competitive party game format. The game uses a Judge System, one player per round is the Construct, from their hand of five Crisis Cards they must devise of scenario to the other players.
The players have five Cybernetic Cards that list abilities and symbols representing the type of movement the character has. With the Crisis before them they pick one card to represent them in the round. It is their task to explain to the Construct the Scenario in which the Crisis would be Averted. The game uses elements of simple strategy, such as the Deactivate Card which disables a Player for a single round and each Kickstarter Version of the Game will come with Twelve Blank Cybernetic Cards and Sixteen Blank Crisis Cards.
No card in the deck is the same, each scenario devised can be completely customized by the Construct to be as Epic or Challenging as the last. When a player wins a round, they recieve the Crisis Card to go in their Averted Pile. First player to ten in their Averted Pile is the winner.
The game has a total of 28 Cybernetic Cards--all with different abilities and elemental control powers. along with two blank Cybernetic Cards the game is different every time you play. The Crisis Cards total 24 completely different scenarios, with the combination of player imagination these situations can be vastly different. Crisis Cards deal with world ending issues like Alien Invasion all the way to an Invasion of a Giant Robot Spider. The Construct must make these scenarios specific to a place, time, and a cause.
The Construct changes to the player on the previous players left, and the game continues. Now, it can happen and surely will at one point as you play, what if there is a tie? Well that’s when a Cybernetic Battle begins. Each player in the Battle draws 5 new cards, they then will pit Powers and Abilities versus one another. Players not involved in the Battle will be the judge(s).

Risks and challenges
The game is already created and ready to be sent to the printers; the risk in the campaign is faced by any production delays that may be caused by an overwhelming demand. We have several companies as other options besides are regular distributor--if an issue arises we will just have to manufacture our cards with a different company.
