It's STORAGE WARS meets MEN IN BLACK!
UNIT 44 answers the question, 'What happens when Area 51 employees, Agent Gibson and Agent Hatch, forget to pay the rent on the facility’s off-site storage unit, and the super-secret contents are sold at public auction?'
When an alien invasion threatens the safety of planet Earth, Gibson and Hatch must recover an item from the locker if they hope to stop the extraterrestrial threat.
This Kickstarter campaign will fund the creation of the art and physical printing of the first 22-page issue of UNIT 44. This will be the first installment of an intended 4-issue miniseries.

Risks and challenges
The original Kickstarter for UNIT 44 ran during the month of August 2013 and attempted to fund the creation and printing of the full 4-issue miniseries. While the initial $9,000 goal wasn't reached, Wes and Ed decided to re-launch the campaign, seeking $2,000 to fund the art costs and printing of the first issue of the comic.
By having a completed first issue and physical product, Wes and Ed will be able to garner reviews and promote the title at conventions in an effort to continue building an audience for the subsequent three issues.
The story for UNIT 44 is complete and the scripts have been written. After funding, the first issue of the comic will be passed to series artist Eduardo Jiménez to be drawn, inked and colored and then back to Wes to be lettered.
As long as Eduardo and Wes remain in good health, the prospective printer for the book stays afloat and the United States Postal Services doesn't go out of business, we anticipate completing the first issue of the series by November of 2013.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
