After many years of following (and teaching) a goal-oriented approach to purpose, I started to notice that that's not exactly the way that purpose works. At least, that's not the way I have seen purpose show up in my own life, or in the lives of my coaching clients and transformational retreat participants
I see purpose showing up differently — and I believe the changes and challenges that we face today require us to show up differently for purpose.
With this book, I am introducing a whole new paradigm of purpose.
I want to share a model of purpose that is more dynamic, more co-creative, and more regenerative. This approach is not about finding or figuring out a singular life purpose, and it is not about defining or diagnosing your purpose.
The new paradigm of purpose is about participating in an active dialogue with the world. It is about embodying the purpose that is always already here. It is about intentionally cultivating qualities that allow this force of nature to flow.
The book describes a number of radical reframes to help us embrace a new perspective on purpose. It presents a dynamic model for understanding how purpose flows, or doesn't flow. It guides us on the path of inner work required to welcome the embodied experience of purpose into our lives.
I have given my time, energy, and heart work to the creation of this book while forgoing other projects and income for the past five months. Completion will require my uncompromising focus for several months more.
This book needs YOUR help to get it across the line into the physical world.
I am asking for community support to help me cover the expenses to bring this book into the world: professional services in copy editing, graphic design, formatting and layout, printing, photography, videography and publicity.
The goal is $8,000. If we reach the stretch goal of $12,000, then I will produce an audiobook to make it easier for this message reach even more people.
Thank you for becoming part of the virtual village supporting this book. Even if you cannot contribute funds, please share this and stay connected.
Risks and challenges
The main risk is timeline. I am committed to seeing this project through to completion. However, I have learned that creative projects have a life of their own. While everything is currently on track for an estimated September publication date, it's always possible there may be unforeseen delays that are beyond my control.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
