Risks and challenges
This is our FOURTH Kickstarter which means we have some experience successfully navigating the Kickstarter process, meeting funding goals, and successfully delivering what we promise. Our previous Kickstarter projects also involved the distribution of PNP (print and play) games which one of the rewards in this project offered to backers. We also have experience creating and delivering physical games to our backers in a timely manner.
Unlike our past projects though, Red Lines: A.S.S.G.A.S. ™ is still in the middle of the game development phase. During this phase it will be play tested (a lot more), attempted to be broken, re-balanced, revised, tweaked, enhanced, streamlined, and polished. The art and graphic design is not final either, so the ultimate PNP file(s) and Letter Game copies will hopefully look even better.
The most probable risks involve delays in the distribution of the reward levels due to development of the game progressing slower than expected. Much of this risk is being mitigated though by allowing plenty of time for the development to take place and arranging multiple avenues for the play testing to simultaneously occur (during regular gaming groups, tabletop conventions, and through blind-beta testing). That said, we have a history of delivering our backer rewards timely and often ahead of schedule.
Moreover, there are also the normal boiler plate risks which include, but are not limited to: The usual, unusual, and unforeseen contingencies and complications such as Acts of God, Natural Disasters, Acts of Terrorism, War, Political Revolution, as well as the mental, emotional, or physical debilitation, injury, or death of key persons associated with this project.
There may also be a remote chance of retaliatory assassination by the Syrian Regime and/or the Russian Government and their agencies.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
