So where is the audiogamebookapp coming?

      Benjamin Dexter on

I'm in the same boat as Scott. I donated 75, but only picked the 50$ pledge reward.

    4. scott oberg on

I donated $50 for the best friends pack but, as I am international, pledged $60 total. Do I still qualify for the audiobook? I had initially, and perhaps foolishly, assumed that I would qualify when the audiobook was announced but, as I haven't received an email yet, it seems that I was wrong. Am I doomed to ne'er bask in silky waves of Wheaton as they caress my brain holes?

      Sincerely,
      Confused in Canada

    5. Misoski on

      It arrived today :D

    6. Zachary Weiner 7-time creator on

Hey Tom! Send your info to zach@smbc-comics.com and we'll get you sorted asap. Sorry about that!

    7. Tom Champion on

Still haven't received any of the books yet

If at all possible could you avoid using UPS for Sweden in the future.

The customer service I got was subpar but that could just have been a bad repperson but their fees where 75 % of my total fees. Love the book looking forward to the next project sans UPS.

    12. Michel Rowinski on

Yeah UPS are sneaky it seems. Got hom to day to find a bill for custom fee 30 $. It did not say anything about it on their webbpage&tracking page or was mentioned by the delivery person. Not satisfied with them at all.

    13. Karsten Kopplin on

Got my package today here in Germany, after a bit of drama getting a hold of the delivery person... UPS, had bad experiences in the past. And additional custom fees. *sigh* Oh well. The Book is gorgeous, very happy I've been a part of this kickstarter. Onto the next one! :D

    14. Michel Rowinski on

Hmm that maybe possible to not understand correctly I see now. I got a first delivery this friday but since I was at work I got my book on the second delivery at my workplace instead. So I am happy with the delivery.

    15. Michel Rowinski on

I got my hardcover in Sweden today but it was a second attempt to deliver. Book, poster and card are all signed so Yeah! even it I did not see the postcard autograph at first.

Thought the book would be larger. But nice quality and now I eagerly await the audio.

    16. Brandon Spanis on

Haven't received my hardcover yet. :(

Awesome! My hardcover arrived! I live in Austin so it didn't have far to go...

To Gavin Grant: did you check the front of your postcard? At first I thought my postcard wasn't signed, since the back was blank, but then I notice Zach signed the art side.

    18. Zachary Weiner 7-time creator on

Yikes! Sorry to hear that folks have been getting softcovers instead of hardcovers. Sounds like a slip-up at our warehouse. If you have a similar issue, please contact me via email (christina@breadpig.com) and I'll get you all sorted!

For what it's worth, I just received a hardcover in the Ultra-Collector's pack.

I am in the same boat as the last two comments. Did the ultra collector's pack and have a softcover with the packing slip saying Hardcover.

    22. Dinomight on

I have the same problem, Syria Sirlay. I only got a softcover.

    23. Syria Sirlay on

I got the 'ULTRA-COLLECTOR’S PACK', but only got a softcover. It even says on the packing slip that I'm supposed to have a hardcover.

    24. StjepanBulmer on

Just received my Pen Pals Pack too and also found the postcard was not signed, really enjoying the book though, was wondering on Act 3 Scene 38 if anyone has got the Logic puzzle to all work out, I have worked most of it out but i seems to fall apart when I try to place who eat what food. Any help would be appreciated since it is bothering the hell out of me.

    25. Gavin Grant on

My pen pals pack just arrived in the mail today! Pretty excited! Although my postcard wasn't signed :(

    26. Ian Tong on

I just got a shipping email for an international Penpals pack.

Have hardcovers been shipped? I was never asked for an address to ship to. I've moved since backing this project, so if you've shipped it, I probably won't get it.

    32. Rhyce Woollons on

I'm in the same boat as Gavin, still yet to recieve mine(Australia,)

    33. Johan Aulin on

I just ended my first playthrough, and it was great!

In scene 7 of act 3, where you get -50 Ch, +50 Ch, -50 Ch, +50 Ch, since your score can never go below zero, you net a lot of charisma. Is this supposed to be the outcome, or are they just supposed to cancel each other out?

    34. Zachary Weiner 7-time creator on

Hey Gavin-- there are still a few shipping, but if you don't have it in the next week or so please get in touch with me and we'll make sure you get everything you paid for.

    35. Gavin Grant on

Still haven't gotten my copy yet (Canada), anyone else in this same situation?

    36. Aydin Turk Mardan on

For those interested, there is another Gamebook project being developed by the name of Maelorum.

    37. Geikichi on

      Just received it !

    38. Malau on

I received mine through the mail on Monday! Loving it!

    39. Axel on

I got my copy a little while ago, started playing/reading it yesterday, and I've been loving it! In fact, some of my friends are interested from my enthusiastic ranting. However, I can't find any info on how, if, or when Trial of the Clone will be available to buy now that the Kickstarter is over - are there any plans?

Also, @Simon, I thought that was self-evident? It says that you can't move between acts, and all the scene numbers count up in order then start over. So if I was on scene 62 and was directed to scene 5, I'd flip backward, not forward.

    40. Missing avatar

      Simon on

OK, nevermind. turns out every act has their own set of numbers. I still think it could have been featured somewhere more prominently.

    41. Missing avatar

      Simon on

Got my softcover copy today (Germany).
Pretty sure I found an error: 62 sends you to scene 5, which doesn't make any sense and has an unwinnable battle (if you just started the game with wits=0). Also, I thought you weren't supposed to jump between acts? I've been ping-ponging between acts 1 and 2 for a while now. Well, I'll just start over and choose another profession, maybe you're not supposed to play a medic.

    42. Geikichi on

I havn t receive my copy in France yet, do you know how long I have to wait?

    43. Ellen Spertus on

What I've read is awesome! Zach rocks! I wish Douglas Adams were alive to read it.

Anyone working on an app? Not having to do bookkeeping would make the story more accessible.

    44. Ben Fields on

@Stephen K and others who were having trouble flipping digital pages for random draws I made a website (be warned basically no style, all function) that draws from the sequence of number counts in the book, so it's slightly more true to the book then rolling a fair die. If you would like to use it lives at http://totc-draw.herokuapp.com/ As there's not much to it it should work on mobile devices also, though I haven't tried on anything other than my Galaxy S2. Hope that helps!

    45. Mark Jacobsen on

Wil the audio book be available to purchase? (If so, when?)
I regret not pledging for it, and now I want

Really funny stuff! Can't get past Act 4 scene 1 though! :P

Can you update the pdf with the cover of the book please?
Some feedback: I really loved the story and drawings but I found the battles a little hard if you're not a fighter. Also, little incentive to have a high wits value (easier battles, lower opponent values).

    47. Alex the Gamer on

Does anybody know if there is a jpg version of the item sheets? If not I will just make one.

      Glidder on

How much time is usually considered a reasonable timeframe for international shipping? I'm not familiarised.

    49. Ben Fields on

@stephen k that's what I got as well. So I made a python script (here: https://gist.github.com/3879439, feel free to use and suggest mods) the allows you to do the random draws with the same distribution as the book but at the command line. I'll wrap it into the most overkill heroku app ever later tonight or tomorrow, then it will be web accessible. (note that I've done nothing to emulate the bias of book placement, given that people amost certainly stop in the middle-ish when physically flipping pages...)

    50. Michel Rowinski on

      @Stephen K

I wondered about the Alpha Ray too.

I think it is like this you can use it in two entire scenes. Then it breaks. You choose when to use it.
